Student loans is a racket... I agree with Dave, but tuition rates have increased by like 200% since the 90s and steady rising.. but the value of education isn't rising with it. On top of that, you can't file bankruptcy for them either. Then u got companies like Sallie Mae that service the loans AND they own the comapnies they send the loans to that are in default. This the kind of shit kids should be learning in elementary school on up..

I say college is useful and beneficial, to those who know what their goals are
You need it if you're going in a profession that requires unique skills
Medical field
Lawyer (you have to pass the bar)
Engineers/Scientists
But, really a lot of things can be achieved and you can get around without a degree
