Nah I had some saints tell me Tracy Porter was the best CB last year. Even said he was on the same level as Aso and Revis. Charles did have a great season.

Yeah it was also great seeing him get lit up by Fitzgerald in the playoffs.

It may be Revis Island, but it's Planet Asomugha that's the best. You wanna talk about Man Coverage, imagine doing it 99% of the time with absolutely no safety help and you still scare the absolute shit out of opposing QBs to throw to your side of the field. He shuts down his entire side of the field.

Nnamdi was a college Safety who became a Man Corner and has been dominating ever since his 3rd year in the League. The only year they threw at him consistently, he got 8 INTs. I think people sleep on Nnamdi way too much. Put Revis on the Raiders and Nnamdi on the Jets and I think Revis wouldn't even be in consideration as one of the best in the League. He might still be pretty decent, but not as good as Nnamdi has been.

You're haven't given a valid reason why Asomugha is better I feel confident when I say there is no one in the league better than Revis one on one. All those highlights was with no help or a safety coming in late.

So because people threw Revis' way and all he did all season was make plays and dominate that's way he's not better than Asomugha, nigga please. The way the Jets would set their defense up most times help would be over the other reciever while Revis would be 1 on 1 against the oppenents best reciever. So the Jets were actually daring the quarterback to throw to what seemed be the right read but in turn they were throwing at the Jets best player. That's how you call defense. You put your playmakers in position to make plays. If Asomugha wasn't being thrown to that is a indicment in the defensive coordinator.

So let me get this straight it is Asomugha's fault that the Raiders defense is not as good as the Jet's defense? Revis has done it for 1 year if he can have the same dominance next year than yeah he can be mentioned with Asomugha...but until then. Asomugha>Revis>Woodson>any other QB in the league......

asomugha>>>>revis

the raiders are the shittiest team in the league and you know you got something good when no one is willing to throw in his direction

I can understand that. BUT I would start with Patrick Willis. He is the best defensive player in the NFL right now.

I will say Revis.

I will say though that it is very close. People are right when they so no one throws at Asomugha. He already established that you don't throw it his way a couple of seasons ago so now offenses give him that respect. Revis just established that last season so this up coming season you are going to see a lot less balls thrown his way.

Also the video may actually help Aso. Look at the highlights for Revis. All in pass coverage. Aso was all run support except a couple. Nigga couldn't find any for pass coverage because there wasn't any. QB's are too scared to throw the ball to his side. Scared of Aso

While I wont dismiss anyone who says Asomugha is better, you could make the arguement for either, to say Revis wouldn't be considered one of the best in the league if he was on Oakland is retarded. Revis is in man coverage just as much as Asomugha. The jets scheme is a lot different and they blitz a lot more so he doesn't have to cover for as long but he is almost always in man coverage.

Also its hard to see how good a corner back is without looking at the coaches film. Those broadcast films and high lights don't really capture everything that is going on.

this is why high lights don't really show you what is going on. You need to see the coaches film to really be able to see how well someone is doing in coverage. If someone is locking down someone in coverage you aren't going to see it because the ball is not going to be thrown there so the camera wont follow them. So it is hard to compare just going of what you see in the broadcast.

No diss to Wills but linebackers are alot easier to find than cornerbacks with the skill of Revis and Asomugha. And the league is set up to throw the ball down the field so when you find elite cornbacks you have to hold on to them.
