Ehh you didn't miss anything with DS2. It was ok, but felt like a drop off after DS1. BB is great, but it's a lot different than the Souls games in a bunch of ways despite using the same basic foundation.

Yeah I was telling @"Trollio " he needs to play DS2 before jumping in from BB cause the games don't really play alike at all.

BB really shouldn't be compared to the Souls games, it low key has it's own lane. As has been said it doesn't really play like the souls games.

Bloodborne came from the Souls games not the other way around. Still, I'd say there are deeper differences than that.

BB is a very good game. DS2 is an ok game and not all that great by Souls standards. It felt more like a Dark Souls ripoff than an actual Souls game.

Dark Souls 2 took a step back in terms of level design and enemy AI. Quite frankly Dark Souls 2's difficulty felt like cheese at times and not genuinely challenging.
Bloodborne feels eerily similar to Demon's Souls, the very first souls game more than either Dark Souls game, but Bloodborne due to it's combat is still a completely unique experience. Quite frankly coming from Demon's and Dark Souls I found Bloodborne rather easy, but then again I have three games worth of souls experience behind me as well.

I have DkS2: Scholar of the First Sin on PS4 and I have to force myself to play it at times. Monk isn't lying it's just not that great compared to the other games. It had a different team make it though which is probably the reason why it isn't up to par with the others. Dark Souls 3 will have the original game director designing it.
