Easy mode takes away from the essence of Dark/Demon's Souls, but a feature in a game that isn't mandatory doesn't bother me none. It may need to be an offline mode -only feature, though.

People would play it on easy mode and twink their characters out much faster. That would be an issue getting invaded. That game doesn't need an easy difficulty. The interface needs to be explained better. And they could make upgrades more accessible I guess but the gameplay is fine. Other than a handful of bosses it's not so difficult it can't be done solo with a little patience.

If anything that's better for us. More money from each game means more likelihood that the series continues and gets better and better.

You can bet none of the core players coming from Demons and Dark Souls will even think of doing easy mode in this game, so I doubt you'll have a problem finding other people playing. And I doubt it takes much time to program an easy mode. It would probably be as simple as making it so that enemies take off less life.

I'm still not a fan of it. I think streamlining the upgrades to a point, interface, and giving players a little more direction is a better idea. I never thought, other than some bosses and a handful of areas, was really hard gameplay wise on the first playthrough.

It depends on how you play honestly. It's a game that can be as easy or as hard as you make it depending on how you choose to equip your character.

Is that the intro to the game or something? I don't want to watch it before I actually get the game. Damn I can't wait. There other games I look forward to, but the Souls series games are the only ones that have me anxious to play them.

I never played the first one because I don't know people who like RPG's outside of Skyrim and I didn't own a PS3 or 360 of my own. If this comes to PS4 or Xbox One in some form I'll check it out though. Between this, The Witcher 3, Bravely Default, Shin Megami Tensai X Fire Emblem and Monolith Soft's X it's gonna be a good year for RPG fans. I'm hyped.
