yup, I'm not ashamed. it's natural for black people to have feelings. what u think gospel & soul music come from. some of us is pure cold hearted but not all. we got diversity.

nah. Dash is that dude, in some respects...but in other he's sorely lacking. plus how is he able to resurrect roc-a-fella records?...unless L.A. Reid resurrects the label, appoints him label head, and un-asses some coin for him to sign folks? I don't see any of the above happening but stranger things have and do happen.

naw u lying. sorely lacking in what areas? when he had the tools? he did what needed to be done and was arguably one of the best rap ceo's ever. now he ain't got the tools (because of camel man) so y'all can pop shit. but when he was on top? so was Harlem, Brooklyn, Philly & Chicago. that is something u doubters can't take away. one thing no one can change is history. no matter how much u want to.

what am i lying about? Roc-a-Fella is basically a subsidiary of Def Jam records...not a joint venture...so basically it's nothing more than a stamp on a cd sleeve...it has no boss...it has no manager even ...sht the label probably doesn't even have a budget at this point. the two maybe three artists left on the roc a most likely on Def-Jam officially so like I said, unless L.A. decides he wants to make Roc-A-Fella a strong brand again he'd have to figure out a way to disassociate it with Jay-Z Biggs and Dame or else nobody would pay attention to the music, only the drama even if they did start putting out some hard ass music again. Dame + Curren$y seems like a backwards hustle move for L.A. Reid. Dame gets his props definetely, and so does Curren$y whom I def fucks with, however...Dame had a good run when he was on top, but them days are done.

U ARE LYING ABOUT DAME SORELY LACKING IN SOME AREAS. YOU GOT NO PROOF. Jay ruined the Rocafella brand, not Dash. now I don't know what Reid and Dash have lined up for 2010, although I am happy with Dash's management of Currency thus far. but after I do my research I can make an honest statement. right now I'm just going off of the Dash legacy (1994-2004)

as far as Roc without Jay won't work? Beans siding with Jay is what got him fucked in the first place. he thought jay was gonna be the answer. please. jay is only the answer for jay, unless u bringing major paper already his way, like Beyonce'

I started to make a thread similar to this one. I was just gonna talk about all the artist dame has on blac roc or the artist he been working with in general. I cant post videos tho.

Jay Elec.

Mos def

Curren$y

Big K.r.i.t - Dope southern rapper from Mississippi

Stalley - This muslim nigga from a town in Columbus uses alot of jazz in his music he okay

Nebsy phips - Just dowloaded his new tape dope rapper/producer from the N.O. Has a nice laid back flow. Produced some beats for spitta also featured on beeper bill (prioritize0

Im sure its more too he also has some rock bands but im happy to see what dame is doing. I honestly hope he just stays kinda where they are in terms of doing things on their own because their already making videos under creative control, doing shows and getting promo. All they need now is the radio which i dnt see happening nor tv.

I dnt think dame tryna ressurect rocafella just starting somthing new. To the dude that said spitta been on four labels, i only kno 2 what were the other ones?

damn dude there were many tears cried upon the keyboard as this was typed eh?

well regardless of your strong opinion on this matter I personally think this isn't an odd business move, kind of like the pro-keds thing but he'll if it works it works and I wish em both the best of luck. as I read the article I see that now my original assumption is incorrect and there's no legal issue barring Dame from using the name eh fuck it why not?

That's the thing, Jay-Z wasn't an All Star from the jump, hell nobody wanted to sign him that is why they started Roc-A-Fella.

Nobody wanted Jay-Z, so Dame and Biggs were the one's that took his career in their hands and they did all the business deals for his first album.

They signed a one album deal at Priority for Reasonable Doubt and Def Jam for the rest of his albums, who do u think was the one that went in the trenches for Jay?

Jay always played it safe, while Dame didn't care how people saw him, he would put his rep on the line for Jay.

Without Dame and Biggs, Jay would not have the career that he has now. It's alot of niggas in the business that got the skills but, they are not represented right, so they do not take off, even with the skills.

So Dame is just as important to Jay's career, He believed in Jay, he put in the time and money to develop Jay and Jay leaves him hanging.

was roc-a-fella jay-z label or dame dashes?did jay give dame the ROC?

Roc-A-Fella was Dame, Kareem "Biggs" Burke, and Jay-Z's label...when jay wanted to "retire" during the Black Album Def Jam stepped up their efforts to try and get him to stay and work for them, an offer he had been turning down for a while...he told Dame "If ya'll let me keep the masters to Reasonable Doubt you and Biggs can have the ROC and I'll walk way forever". Dame said yeah but Biggs said no so Jay said "Ok, Im taking everything Def Jam offers." and that's what caused the final split.

eh? where u from, Canada? I got cousins in Ontario that talk just like u. anyway I don't care what none o y'all think about me, my position on the matter cannot be proven false. Jay & Dame gonna be alright, but it would be great to see Dash make a comeback in this rap game.
