Damn Slaughterhouse caught a brick again

Just Blaze, Nottz, ALC, DJ Khalil, etc. woulda been much better choices.

Eminem's usual gawd-awful production severely dampened the potential of what could have been a great album.

The next album or official mixtape Joe Budden drops should not have anything Em-related on it.

What they need to do is learn from others and brand themselves better. If I were managing their careers i'd get them to do the following:

- Tags: Create a slaughterhouse tag (sorta like how Ross has 'Maybach Music'), and place that at the beginning of every guest feature any of them make.

- Guest features. This really is the way to expose yourself to a wider audience than your own. They all need to be doing independent features, and two or three of them being guest features with the other on someone else's song. Feature on anything...whether it's rock or R&B or pop. Each one should be out there finding a sound.

- Solo Careers. It's like they forgot how to do solo careers. Stop just promoting Slaughterhouse and promote yourselves and each other. Between Slaughterhouse albums, they should all be releasing their own albums. It allows fans of Joe Budden to follow Joe Budden, and Crooked I to follow Crooked I. And if they gain extra fans from doing more solo shit, then that should translate into a few more fans buying a Slaughterhouse album only b/c it's 1/4 Joe Budden or 1/4 Royce Da 5'9 or 1/4 Crooked, or 1/4 Joell Ortiz. Add that to the current 50k that just bought this album (and probably bought the last one too), and you've got increased sales and more money for everyone in the group.

- These are grimey rappers that need a hard beat to ride. Get them Alchemist production, Havoc production, Erick Sermon production, DJ Premier production, and Pete Rock production. Choruses for them should, for the most part, be sample cuts.

1. They kinda got a tag (Crooked's "Slaughterhouse" in Hammer Dance, I've heard that more than once in their records)... they need to use it more often.

2. They're already established (at least on the hip hop front)... guest features would help, but it's not like no one knows them. Royce is on a gold EP and Joe Budden is still eating off Pump It Up.

3. Royce released an album last year, and Joe and Joell have albums coming up. Dunno about Crook.

4. Completely agree with that. Or at the very least let Royce and Joe handle the hook writing.

These suggestions might help them in the long run, but it's not to say they haven't tried. We just gotta face it and say these dudes aren't built for mainstream... yet. The game's gotta change drastically for them to adjust. To me, the weak link is Crooked. He has the least personality out of all of them and has nothing going for himself except SL. Get him hot, step up their production (their songmaking abilities is solid to me), and target their intended audience, and they'll be alright.

Oh yea they did do 18k but Big Sean did 50k tho. And Twitter followers are not an indication of record sales. Nicki Minaj has like 17 million followers and barely cracked gold

Twitter followers are a good indication of your "reach".

Nicki Minaj has 17 million followers and her album charted in 20 different countries around the world.

Her single "Starships" charted in 25 countries around the world and went Multi-platinum, Platinum or Gold in 9 different countries including 3X million here in the U.S.

You say she "barely" cracked Gold but her album has already been certified platinum in the U.S. and sold 650K copies domestically after backlash and mixed reviews.

Super-lyrical rappers on POP beats with Skylar Grey hooks and Emenim production? LOL yeah right.

they should have trap beats, the same beat 3 times at least, and fuck putting effort in your rhymes, all people wanna hear is bang bang im gonna shoot this niggas im so ignorant buy my album you wont hold me back im the greatest

So Gee you tryna say the only reason they ain't sell is because they aligned themselves with Eminiem? So if they were signed Ross you'd have no problem with them? I thought you liked Crook from tha row days.

of course they thought it would help them bring in more sales and more popularity that was the the point to sign wit shady and when did they get on em about them racist tapes?

i thought it would be a classic but what i gather is that they're trying to crossover big time with their group album since thats the only one with major label backing, and off that exposure use it to further their solo careers. i hope i never hear crooked i or joell on some techno shit like on "my life". and i hope they can do another album on interscope that is a real masterpiece eventually.
