seems like sum folks are ignoring the fact that he had the burglar detained and there wasn't a struggle and his wife also had a gun pointed at him but he still shot the guy then lied to the cops...

It's one thing to shoot in the middle of a struggle or if dude charged at him but the nigga waited til the guy had surrendered to shoot him... That was sum hoe shit.. No matter how you slice it..

It's one thing to defend your home and it's one thing to shoot a person when it's not necessary.. Then he didn't even have the balls to kill the dude...

luckily the cops didn't dig deeper because if they did, your brother can be facing a charge also...

I told him he was wrong....i think my brother was just pissed b/c he has a 6 month old son in the house..a wife....... and all the emotions were like this sucker is @ his residence invading his families space and shit.....it is what it is......

main thing is he is trained in guns...he goes to classes to keep his skills safe....and he takes owning a gun seriously....he was gonna get rid of it as the kid gets older......but now i doubt it,,,,,

If he took more than one shot (which I highly doubt) that pain was excruciating.

(Most of) You Americans are so blood thirsty, no wonder there are shootings every 3 weeks with innocent people being killed. Why would you shoot a man who no longer poses a threat to you and yours? The burglar was wrong to invade someone´s house, but the fact that he doesn´t have a weapon proves that he´s mentally slow and should be pitied instead of shot.

Your brother just did the worst he could do in this situation. Now the burglar is probably gonna get some real criminals to come to your brother´s house and they will not be there for some milk and cookies.

I'd have to be in the situation to see how sorry the robber is, but more often than not I'm murking. How do you know what the robber's intentions are? He could be there to kill you. Better to get him before he gets you.

As for the retaliation thing, won't his family or friends come for retaliation even if you kill him? It'll just be a bigger mess. You just can't win.
