Be ready for the sookie pity parade when she loses her power and then regrets it and wants them back.

Yep...she gone get caught up in a situation...probably with Russell, and wish she had her power.

The whole Lilith thing is weird but I'll ride it out....they was high as hell off that blood....I truly think whenever Eric see Godric its not really Godric but his conscience...his sister is bat shit crazy tho...Salome got in her head something serious...

Hope Hoyt dies....

speaking of... im surprised Tara got the best of Jessica in their little scuffle, figured Jessica would have the edge being that she is the older vamp.

jess, was nothing but a church mouse getting abused by pops before she turned.

Tara been fighting, plus she was in an actual fighting league last season so it didnt surprise me.

that Salome chick is in on it, them others is just shook of russell imo, thats why noone jumped in.

I'm wondering if lineage plays a part in their powerlevels as well. Tara may have been able to get with her because she is part of Godric's bloodline

Naw...her being part of Godric's bloodline has more to do with his legacy than his actual power being passed on to each progeny.

I understand that, but there must be something to explain Tara being able to get with Jessica..going by the history of the show, the older you are, the more powerful vampire you are..considering Jessica has been a vampire for at least 3 years prior to Tara, there must be more to it. So far the theme of the show has highlighted makers and their children.

Jess might be more powerful but maybe like dude said she don't know how to fight really. Tara most certainly does just from human life experiences. and the fight was never finished remember Pam broke it up....we don't know if Jess would've eventually overpowered her. Being stronger doesn't mean you know how to use that power per se. Jess has only ever really fought werewolves (back in season 3) who are much weaker than vampires so she defeated them easily. This is the first time she's actually had a real fight with another vampire....she didn't know how to handle it. I mean look at Bill & Eric...they've fought and though Eric is older & more powerful Bill still got some good shots in and held his own for as long as he could until Eric was finally able to just overpower him....

Vampires not knowing how to fight has never come into play on the show though..Jessica just checked the Pastor earlier this season and I imagine he somewhat knew how to fight considering his campaign against Vampires. Bill has never been a challenge for Eric, just as Eric isn't a challenge to Russel. It's all about age. The only way Bill can last anytime with Eric is if Eric allowed him to..this was shown when Bill first stepped to Eric back when he made Pam..

The problem with your argument is that you're comparing vampires whose ages differ by hundreds if not thousands of years to two vampires that differ by 5 or 6 at most. There is no reason to believe that such a short time would lead to a boost in power that would completely nullify the difference in fighting experience that Tara has vs Jessica. Not to mention that it's possible that a vampire's starting strength is somewhat related to their strength before they were turned. I'm sure Tara was probably stronger than Jessica as humans, so it's not out of the question that Tara started out stronger as a vampire than Jessica did. In other words, that 5 year difference may have really just put them on even ground.

The problem here is that you're presenting too many assumptions and not acknowledging what's been presented to us in this show...the age of the vampire matters, regardless if its 5 years or a thousand..that's how their power structure is established...I would imagine the pastor was stronger than Jessica too as a human, but that didn't stop him from damn near getting his shit pushed in by Jessica..

I don't think you understand the point of my post. I wasn't assuming anything. I was showing that this idea that older vampire > younger vampire is not necessarily true even by what has been established. I wasn't saying that the scenario I suggested was true. I was just giving an example of something that could be true even within what we've seen. Again, we've seen vampires with huge age gaps have a large strength difference. We haven't really seen that for an age difference of a few years. I'm not even saying that Jessica isn't stronger than Tara. She simply may not be strong enough to make up for the skill difference.

crazy thing is,

its so much shit goin on in each episode and i feel bored with them

i actually fell asleep watchin the last two eps.

Show still half great and half wack. The fire god and whatever the fuck Lafayette supposed to be doing is still wack. Tara is still wack. The shit with the fairies is lame. so instead of finding who killed their parents sookie just gonna play her part from Rouge in X-men and give up her powers.

I can already see that at some point Hoyt gonna be with a gun in his hand pointing at Jessica riding with them dudes. I wonder who dudes getting their info from. And does dude work at the hospital or was he their to finish off Sam and his girl

Surprisingly the werewolves shit gonna be alright if Alcide gets on V just for the fight. I mean the basic premise of this show is to make everybody contradictory to what they were just against. Every single character does the same shit

Not sure where they going with the Lilith shit but nothing wrong with Vampires just fucking folks ppl up.

My theory about the blood that the vamps were tripping on: only one kind makes vamps that crazy- fae blood. Salome probably filled that vial with fae blood herself. Since Salome exhumed Russell, which lead to Roman's demise, I wouldn't be suprised if she switched out the blood too. It also wouldn't suprise me if Salome ordered Kibye and the "gay stormtroopers" to kill any human witnesses to her taking Russell, especially poor Doug, just to cover her tracks. This whole thing was probably an elaborate plot by Salome to take over the Authority, which could earn her the wrath of not only humans, but Roman's vamp friends. Roman didn't become as powerful as he was without connections and if the New Orleans massacre goes public, it would have disastrous repercussions for all vamps, including Salome.

For two weeks in a row, Sookie hasn't annoyed me, which is a record. Now that Sookie knows that she's losing her powers, it has lead to some long overdue soul-searching, whether it was on her own, with Jason or with Sam. Now Sookie is starting to think about having a "normal" life, which she can't have with Bill or Eric. Sookie's powers may have helped them, but when it comes to the humans in her life, not so much. However Sookie shouldn't give up all her powers. If I were in her place and I was asked to choose which powers I would want to keep (which hasn't happened to Sookie yet, but it might), to paraphrase The Godfather, I would "leave the mind-reading, [but keep] the 'microwave fingers'."

Where would she even get the fae blood from if Sookie is the only one thats living in the real world? Remember....the rest of the fairies are living in their own little space time continuum (or whatever it is) that only fairies can go....

Yea I think if Salome really put Fairy blood in that vile then she would have somehow had them come out side during the daytime

I think the overlooked point is that Lilith is probably an ancient fairy mutant or something. I thought it took a substantial amount of the blood to make vamps trippy. There was like a shot of blood to split between all of them.

Sookie's not the only fae, pure blood or hybrid, who lives/lived in the real world, by a long shot. Barry the bellboy, from Season two, who worked in the vamp-friendly Dallas hotel, is part fae. Hadley, Sookie's cousin and Sophie-Anne's lover, has fae blood, as does her son, Hunter, who can hear thoughts like Sookie. Nan, Eric, Pam, Russell and Bill know about faes. Because Hadley told Sophie-Anne about Sookie, Bill not only knew about Sookie's heritage long before she did, he knew it from the moment they first met, when he let the Rattrays almost kill her. The faes may live in Fae-tasia (among other places), but they have been known to visit the human world from time to time, as Claude's visit to the boutique where Jessica was, Andy's encounter with Maurella and Claudine's ill-fated visit to Sookie proved. Since faes give off a distinctive scent, Salome could have gotten the blood from another vamp who knew about faes, killed one of them and gave/sold whatever blood was left to Salome.

You must have missed the part last season where they revealed that the Fae had been going around rounding up everyone with Fae blood and taking them back to their realm. Sookie escaped. That's the only reason she's been galavanting around the normal world like she has. You bring up Hadley. Have you forgotten that she's shown up this season and has been in the Fae realm the whole time?

If that were the case, half the cast would be considered Fae. Hell, half the characters on original HBO shows in general would be Fae.
