So where can I view the tournament bracket?

lol weeellllllllll......I made 2 actually but players dropped out, wanted extra time to make albums and other nonsense so basically I've been randomly choosing who against who.

Ok well how many labels are left?

How many more rounds?

After this round is the finals and it will be vs @IceBergTaylor

Sales: Gotta give it to skyline, sion has some guys who used to be big sellers and still may be decent, but skyline has more that are more likely to be on the up rise imo, especially with cole who recently reached the plat club, and miley and justin being pop stars, plus big sean don can still make a push too.

Critical Acclaim: on sion's side there seems to be albums that the critics will like all the way down the line, not that skyline has none, but sions side is a lil more consistent and seems to have been a lil more likely to be critically acclaimed, it was really close tho with skyline having krit, cole, and gibbs. but i think the love that the tde members, em, em & royce would get would be a slight, VERY slight edge.

Longevity: WOW, what a tough one with these two, i think i have to say its a wash, both sides have cats with music that can be looked back on and replayed, with a mix of vets who have already been around for a while. some of the new producer/artist combos that were put together, could keep the vets around even longer

Cohesion: Oh gawd, im tryin my best not to cop out and have another tie. with skyline it has a roster of rappers id love to see collab in different ways, and on the singing vanity label i see some talented acts, and a couple writers for each of them. but i have to go with sion based only on this. most of the acts on both labels seem to flow together well but, on skyline imo i didnt quite see how miley and daft punk would fit. the only act that stood out in an odd way on sion records imo was trae the truth

Album Covers: Gotta go with sion here. dubbz did a great job on his covers, but with sion there is just soo much attention to detail the art is just exceptional.

really sucks to hand skyline the L, he did a great job.

Sales: Sion Records – none of Tony’s acts are capable of moving units at the same pace as Eminem, which gives a clear edge to Sion. Leaving Em out of the equation, it’s very close, and the two labels are fairly match in this aspect. Both players have artists capable of putting up respectable numbers, but having Eminem makes the decision quite easy.

Critically acclaim: Skyline – a close one, but I feel like Tony was a bit more picky when it came to his roster, and while he doesn’t have as many artists as Sion, pretty much all of his acts have fan bases who love their music, and critics praising their work.

Some of Sion’s artists have had problems in the past living up to their potential, and this could continue being a problem in the future.

Longevity: Sion – the larger roster decides here. The problem for Tony is, he can’t survive if a few of his artists hits a creative drought at the same time, while Sion’s larger roster would have people who could fill this void, should the issue ever arise.

Cohesion:
Skyline – breaking up the label into two sub-labels was a great idea, and the smaller rosters appears to have been put together with a lot of focus on this aspect, making sure the artists on the respective sub-labels all match really well.

While Sion also managed to achieve a great deal of cohesion, having the larger roster increases the possibility of some artists standing out, and I feel like this is somewhat the case here, most notably Trae the Truth.

Artwork: Sion – both players did really good, and put together some amazing projects. Saying Sion did better here is really saying a lot, with Tony delivering the quality work he did. What decides it for me is, that I feel Sion’s took a few more chances, while being very diverse in his covers.

Vote goes to Sion Records with the score 3-2

SALES: Both labels feature a mix of the highest selling artists of the decade. But the win goes to Skyline records.

Simply because of high profile artists such as Janet, Beiber, Daft Punk and Mary J. And let's not forget that J.cole recently went platinum in a so called "dead art form" AKA real hip hop, with no features or promotion.

Skyline's artists will sell alot based on who they are affiliated with. It wouldn't be farfetched to see BJ or Gibbs go plat

just because they're affilated with a Miley crowd.

However Sion records still have Eminem and Kendrick who both have very

loyal fans and are known to sell alot of records. D12 went plat during Em's prime due to affliation. But as far as sales go

for Sion Records...I can only see Eminem and K.Dot doing big numbers.

Winner: Skyline

CRITIAL ACCLAIM: There are alot of albums that stand out to me on both sides. Beginning with Skyline. The standout album here is Hii-world by Kendrick and Cole. Perfect match for two new school rappers who slightly have the same lane. And that's a lane that is very rare today in hip hop. That lane would be lyricsm. Not to mention that both artists have sold platinum records and sold out arenas with just their fanbase alone. A timeless song from that album would be wealth of knowledge

with Nas(produced by premo) Classic album.

The second album from Skyline would be Transformation by Beiber. Beiber has been away from the limelight for a very long time. He has had time to build character and reinvent himself. I really think he could come back with this album and gain a more mature audience.

The albums that stood out for me on Sion records were first of all the Eminem album. Eminem is back working with Bass brothers and the album cover gives of an MMLP feel.

He has gone back to his roots and started flowing like he used to with the same contraversial topics. Creating another classic for the first time in a decade.

Black Hippy's debut Rebellion Celebrations would also be considered a classic. Seeing as everyone has had there chance to drop their solo projects and build their own fanbases it's time for them

to battle it all out on their album. Black lip bastard remix is a good example to Black hippy trying to top each others verses and going in, which also shows to how this album will become a classic.

Ab-soul and Lupe seem like they have great chemistry since they both have clever rhymes. The Black panthers project will be critically acclaimed.

The last critically acclaimed album from Sion records would be Emerikka will not be televised. Simply two great lyricists who have great chemestry and the hunger to come out on top of each verse.

The album would not be a classic but not far from it. And that's because it would get to dull in the end, because they are too similar.

Winner: Sion Records

LONGEVITY: Both labels will have longevity but the one that will have great longevity would be SION records. And that's based on the independant artists. Independant artists have a great advantage in the music bizz, Not only the fact that they got better deals (if they blow up) but also for the fact that they have a loyal fanbase. A label would try to change you to appeal more to another demograpic to increase sales(which often fails)

while independants call their own shots and stay true, with a fanbase

lasting longer than 20+ years.

Loyal fanbases of Skyline: Cole, Janet, Daft Punk.

Sion records: Eminem, Kendrick, Tech N9ne, Odd Future.

Now Odd future and Tech N9ne are independent and has made millions off of merchandise alone. That goes to show you fan loyality.

Winner: Sion Records

Cohesion: Both labels have artists that fit together and artists that don't. If we look at skyline records then you got Bun-B basically fitting with any rapper. Bun comes

from a duo so he has no problem playing the second role. However I find that the rest of the artists would be divas. Like Miley and Beiber both want the spotlight, so does Wale and Sean,

Ne-yo and Thicke and so on. I would find that they would collaborate more outside of their label than inside.

I could see Slaughterhouse and TDE collaborating, Eminem and Odd future, Tech N9ne and Danny brown etc. I also find it quite belivable that the labels mates would be friends and get along easy.

Winner: Sion Records.

Album art: Both labels have outstanding cover arts. The one that stood out to me the most in Skyline was the Children of the Ghetto Ep By Gibbs, BJ and madlib.

a very powerful image of two kids just sitting and looking into the distance. A distance that seem to be empty. Meaning that their is very little hope for these kids.

Also the fact that they are blue and red, symbolizing gang colors in various ghettos. Very dope cover.

The stand out cover for me on Sion Records was Rebelion Celebrations by Black Hippy. It fit greatly into the Kendrick type covers and also gives a background to what the

album might sound like. Also a great title/cover for the times we are living in right now.

Overall both labels had outstanding covers but Sion records had the edge a bit.

Winner: Sion Records.

Overall score: 4-1 to Sion Records
