I can respect the fact they attempting to improve their song making and wanting to make good music and proper songs instead of just battle raps. I just can't see them ever being succesful at song making personally they been around so long and had so many attempts at trying to make songs

Exclusive: Crooked I says he can't wait for the new Slaughterhouse album to be released.

Crooked I, who says that Slaughterhouse is in the fourth quarter of creating its new album, recently spoke with HipHopDX about the new project and how he hopes its yet-to-be-determined title is indicative of the music the group is making.

"We ain't got no title," Crooked I says of the release. "I hope we have the vote on what the title's gon' be. And if I get my way, you could believe it's gon' be some aggressive shit that Best Buy don't even want to fucking put on the shelf. I'm looking to get a letter from iTunes and shit, just saying, 'Uh, guys, we really love the music, but we can't use this fucking title.' I mean I just want the shit to be so blunt and so in your fucking face because I think that's where we need to continue to trail-blaze. That's where music needs to go because the music on the album that we're creating thus far is really dope.

"It's a lot of edgy shit," Crooked I says. "It's a lot of rebellious shit and then there's a lot of emotional shit that you know, you might have gotten out of the song 'Goodbye,' or you might have gotten out of the song 'Move On.' You're getting that times ten on this so I can't wait. I can't wait for it to drop man."

The new Slaughterhouse album follows welcome to: OUR HOUSE, an album that was released in August 2012 via Shady Records. The project earned a 4.5 out of 5 in HipHopDX's review.

Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden and Royce Da 5'9 are slated to go on tour as Slaughterhouse in March 2014. The group released a promotional video for its run recently, one that includes the "Glass House Tour" dates.

thank god.

i was hoping the album would have more tracks like "move on" or "get up" because otherwise they are running in place. we know they can rap....and im sick of hearing songs about them telling us about how they can rap.

cs... get up wuz dope...

Yeah that's 1 thing they done a whole lot made songs about 'how much they can rap' or focused on batle style raps. It is 1 thing attempting to make proper songs with concepts and emotions but hardest aspect is making the songs interesting.

I think song writting is a natural gift not every rapper is gifted with it that's why so many struggle to sell units

These niggas just need to give power of attorney to RZA in exchange for an album, b/c he's probably the only producer I can think of that is capable of putting together a dope album with a handful of rappity rappers and keep it interesting and provide dope beats along the way.

I hope they dont change too much. I guess im the minority on this site when it comes to these guys, but i dont want a bunch of tear jerking stories from these guys. I could listen to emo cats like eminiem or joe buddens solo shit for that. I want rewindable wordplay over some sick as fuck beats from these guys. I want them doin what they do best.

Clearly they dont even sound right tryna fake it till they make it, they might as well keep spitting ill shit. Just definately get some better beats that are consistently on par wit Lyrical Murderers beat and the Hammer dance beat

they need to start with betting alchemist on the boards.

Alchemist, AraabMuzik, Havoc, Dre (doubt he'd produce for them though), Bangladesh, would all bring dope-ass beats for them.

I still say that if they FINALLY get 10 top-shelf beats, everyone will be falling the fuck over themselves to rave about how dope the album is and acting all shocked like "omfg these guise can spit!!! who knew??" lmao

If they doing emotional tracks tho.....shiiiiiet that's Budden wheelhouse.......

Ok but they still need to learn how to construct songs. Just getting in the booth and rapping your ass off over a beat ain't gon do it. SH is just as talented if not more talented than tde as a whole but tde knows how to construct songs and make them cohesive not just rap for 4 minutes
