The controversial, and somewhat odd, emcee was seen coming out of the headquarters of the Phoenix-based label on Saturday morning no longer sporting the dreads that made his look infamous over the past couple of years. When asked about his lack of dreads Lupe explained with muffled laughter "My dreads? Awww man, I just literally got them cut off an hour ago. I went up to meet @supersoaker for the first time. When I walked in his office the first thing he says is 'Lupe those Whoopi Golberg dreads got to go' then he pulled out some clippers and shaved my head right there in the the middle of the room. Ayo I feel like Neo in the Matrix." Lupe went on to explain that, that was the only stipulation of his new boss, "Creative control man. He said I have full control over my next album, I don't have to worry about the radio, put out quality, I finally feel like I'm in a situation to spread my wings out and just inspire on my next joint. When asked about the rumors that @supersoaker held @menace over a Compton balcony by the ankles in order to secure the signings of Kendrick Lamar and Ab-soul, Lupe refused to comment.
