when i lived in my old apt complex i lived under a guy like this. he had just got out of the nuthouse idk why they let him out. i was told he was like that dude from a beautiful mind. he once told me he used to work for nasa but got fiired after he said they stole his ideas. in middle of the night i could hear him stomping around his apt. it would be like 3 in the am and hes still stomping around. we complained plenty of times to apt manager but she never did anything about it.

called the police one time but they told us until someone else calls in to complain nothing they could do. well one day i had enough and went up to his apt and was gonna cuss him out. he opened his door and it looked like a bomb had went off in there. he had ripped out most of the drywall off the frames. or punched holes in the walls. there was a bunch of math problems wrote on the walls. i just looked at him saw the look in his eye and just said could you please keep it down? lol

common scene in places like NoHo (North Hollywood) Hollywood, West Hollywood, Downtown L.A.-Silver Lake- Santa Monica-Venice. In an old line of work I was in, I have seen quite a few apts-homes that would make you raise an eyebrow even though they looked normal on the outside.

But I always know my neighbors pretty well.. we all hangout outdoors or invite eachother into our apt etc. Kinda common around these parts.. kinda hard to be a stranger.

A couple of months ago, a friend of mine called me to come to L.A to do a little freelance work. I was staying with him in North Hollywood while we worked on a pilot that he was producing. The first night that I was there, I heard crazy sounds coming from his neighbors place, loud stumping and shit. When I asked him about it the next day, he began to tell me about this weird old neighbor that has lived there for years but no one has ever seen more than once or twice. He was an artist from what my friend gathered from the landlord (whom he is cool with)
