Yo, this "I feared for my safety" defense as to go. That's one of the things that BLM and other activists need to add to the list of policy changes. Hell, that might need to be number 1. The reason we see it all the time is because it's a real defense for cops. All they have to say is that they feared for their safety and juries can acquit them. That's why it's so hard for them to be convicted of anything.

That was part of the problem with the Castile case. The officer said he was afraid for his safety, and from the video, he does appear to be afraid. However, being afraid shouldn't be a defense for killing someone.

Didn't a black man shoot cops who attemped a no knock raid on his house? IIRC, they charged him and he was convicted and sentenced.
