Wayne was outshined by everyone else in the Hot Boyz...Now niggas just makin shit up...

Right, it's universally known (pun not intended) that Turk was tha weakest Hot Boy.

Juvie and BG were the best and my fav Hot Boys.... but Wayne was a teen and he couldnt curse yet he had charisma and his voice made him stand out. He improved over the years and built himself to what he is today. while BG and Juvie were not the same after leaving cash money.... both of their voices changed and their production suffered without Manny Fresh. BG from Its All on U and Chopper City in the Ghetto is long gone. I listened to Juvies Rejuvenation album and the Soulja Rag/400 degree/G code nigga is gone...

I understand shyt changed, but both of them niggas had some heat after leaving CMR. Reality Check was dope as fuck.

it was heat but not the same quality.... both of their voices changed and got all rasby. Its just didnt sound the same to me. Juve the Great was the last album of his I really felt. And for BG Life After Cash Money was the last. Being a fan and outta respect I always check out their work tho. folk love to rewrite history Wayne has good music hell everyone wanted him for a feature going back to 04/05. He fell off and began rambling verses cuz he could which is my main issue with him

Again...Niggas are changin history...When Wayne was on that "best" shit...He was challenged at every turn...Nobody just agreed wit that shit, people were like what the fuck is he talmbout...But he put out so much music, and most of it was good, and his fan base just kept growin...So people just let him have that and shut up about it...Round the time people finally let that shit go, he had started singin and shit...

Last thing decent Wayne dropped was No Ceilings and hasnt been consistely good since 07-08. Just look at his last 5 releases which have all been trash for proof

Carter 4

Sorry For The Wait

I am not a human

Rebirth

We Are Young Money

No excuses for putting out that much trash to the masses

There was a time several years ago where people were putting Lil wayne up there with the goats. Remember that whole "best rapper alive." era? Yeah, me too lol. And he did have decent lyrics, but some were making it seem like he was Canibus or someone. There was a time he could do no wrong and no matter what you did and where you went, you couldn't escape his music. Other rappers were trying to copy his style. His buzz was out of control for a few years. It has slowed down from that time.

He had these crack babies believing that "best rapper alive" shit.. and those Stan's were going around w/ a straight face saying that shit too.. even though lil gremlin had no classics to back up that statement.. He just had some classic mixtapes which every rapper has four or five of those.. That right there is the perfect example of if repeat a lie.. over and over again eventually these idiots will actually start to believe it...

I was a fan of dude around that Carter 1-2 and Dedication 3 time. He hasn't made good music in a long time and everyone is searching for a reason why. I think it's the money and the fame. He has nothing to prove with rap anymore, so that hunger is gone and it may never return no matter if he pulls an MJ "retirement" act.

This question is about 5 or 6 years too late.

You do realize that would be the 06-07 period right? Which I would consider his peak

I don't understand why you would continue to put out uninspired music and ruin your legacy though. No one is or was crying "Don't leave Wayne! The rap game needs you!" this isn't the 03 hov we're talking about.

Niggas is rewriting history... Carter 3 was the beginning of the end... They talk about sales for 3 making sound good and dismiss 4 when it sold about the same. Carter 3 was when you saw a chink in the armor... He was holding on with No Ceilings... and then it went down hill after that.

In all seriousness, Lil Wayne has never been the "Greatest Rapper Alive" for there would have to be about fifty rappers who would need to drop off the face of the Earth before he is even Top 100...
