Is this really a question? Listen to No Ceilings then Sorry for the Wait and the answer is the nigga is ass now, I went from looking forward to hearing a Wayne verse to knowing it is going to be ass and avoiding all of his new shit.

I hate when Lil Wayne is said to had "fallen off". Why people so scared to admit dude is and has always been wack?

Lol @ "should of been aborted upon conception"..

But in short, yes, yes he did fall all the way the fuck off.

Very truthful article although IMO the beginning of his demise came at Tha Carter III-era. Most of tha shyt prior to that was straight heat. Scarface, I'm a Beast, I'm Me (aka 1000 Degreez), Kush. The Carter 3 sessions should've been tha album

He aint never been a good rapper. He was outshined by everybody else apart of The Hot Boyz. Now u got Drake makin him look bad

Wayne has not always been wack.... Its the IC thing to hate on him. The Block is Hot, Squad Up/Drought/Dedication,500 Degreez, Carter 1 and 2, Like Father Like Son, Hot Boys all were heat

Right, it's universally known (pun not intended) that Turk was tha weakest Hot Boy.

Juvie and BG were the best and my fav Hot Boys.... but Wayne was a teen and he couldnt curse yet he had charisma and his voice made him stand out. He improved over the years and built himself to what he is today. while BG and Juvie were not the same after leaving cash money.... both of their voices changed and their production suffered without Manny Fresh. BG from Its All on U and Chopper City in the Ghetto is long gone. I listened to Juvies Rejuvenation album and the Soulja Rag/400 degree/G code nigga is gone...

Fell off, was he really ever on. Lil Wayne is just an example of a nigga who mass produced music and manage to tap into these generation of ''YOUNG'' minded kids who wanted one of their own to be up there with the likes of the Pacs, Big, Nas, and Jays of the world.

I think when it's all said and done, Waynes music will not be remembered because it's not timeless music. How out all that mass production dude has not produced one classic. I think Kanye will clearly be the artist who is remembered from this era

I see the rap game like sitcoms/tv shows. If you are exceptionally lucky, someone takes a chance on you and your work. Then you might, might have a hit. Cool, lets order another season. Then maybe you have success for a few years. If by then no one is tired of the product, you are in a class of your own. At that point, you just milk it until it's done and pat yourself on the back for a successful career.

I understand shyt changed, but both of them niggas had some heat after leaving CMR. Reality Check was dope as fuck.

There was a time several years ago where people were putting Lil wayne up there with the goats. Remember that whole "best rapper alive." era? Yeah, me too lol. And he did have decent lyrics, but some were making it seem like he was Canibus or someone. There was a time he could do no wrong and no matter what you did and where you went, you couldn't escape his music. Other rappers were trying to copy his style. His buzz was out of control for a few years. It has slowed down from that time.
