I'm going to say this again, and hopefully this doesn't get deleted like it did before:

This whole thing is as much about pussy as the Jay-Z/Nas battle was about Carmen. That Serena Williams shit is nothing more than a cop out, a red herring. This is about one dude from a generation battling another dude from another generation. That's IT.

If I learned one thing from this whole Drake/Common scenario is that most of you new "adult" niggs (18-23), get REAL bitchmade when grown men step to you. You can't claim to be all Tony Tough Guy one minute, then going to cry on Twitter about how "dudes won't let me eat/live" the next when you get called out.

Drake is a grown man. So is Common. Let them stand on their own two feet and lyrically slug it out. This is a Hip-Hop battle. Nothing more, nothing less. If Drake is half as talented as most of you teeniboppers claim, he'll rise to the occasion, and prove he's more than an LL clone. Besides, every teenage girl in the world and the simps chasing them are already going to defend Drake no matter what he does. Look them on here, overplaying their hands now. Arguing for Drake like he's about to be executed, and they trying to appeal to everyone else to get clemency for him.

This isn't about defending the "old guard" in hip-hop, either. When Canibus dropped "2nd Round K.O.", he pretty much was a young up-and-comer going against an established legend in LL. But guess what? He proved himself and put out one of the dopest diss track ever made, and made a name from himself. If Drake does the same, then young, old, whatever, we WILL give him his props. However, based on him ducking both Pusha T and Luda (adding to that him dissing ANOTHER woman in Vanessa Bryant), we're just skeptical that this will actually happen.

But, I think the saddest thing in all this is the audacity of people putting the simpage songs Drake has done like "Marvin's Room" on the same level as "Come Close". LISTEN to both songs. If you can't tell one song was about growing up, trying to build a life with a female and one was about being 20-year-old trickin, then I really feel bad for you. Mostly cause you young-ass "players" will one day have kids and pass that dumb shit on to them.

Stop defending Drake. Let him be the "man" he says he is....and we'll see what happens.

I'm on Common side on this one, but his argument is stupid. If he's supposed to make such a hardcore music, why 75% of his last album consists of slow, mid-tempo, soul sampling, sung choruses havin' songs? Pretty contradictory shit.

exactly...but if you say that Common got better shit he could be doing with his time, to some you're a Drake stan who is trying to defend him...nobody with any sense is sayign Drake is the better rapper, but Common ain't the poster child for "hardcore hip hop" either...

Common aint talking about gangsta rap when he's say hardcore hip hop...............

I know...he also made the same clarification when the whole Ice Cube thing happened and afterwards that he wasn't specifically talking about gangsta rap...but given the music he's made recently, it still doesn't fall under hardcore hip-hop...his last album is damn good, but ain't many "hardcore hiphop" songs on there...same with what many consider to be his last classic album in BE

Common sounds so confused
Drake didn't start this by spitting subliminals on stay scheming or going on stage and telling people who have a problem with him to say it to his face. Both those actions have some distance from specifically targeting Common like he claims Sweet wasn't about Drake.

Now when Drake verse of stay scheming got heard it didn't take common but like 2 days before he up and made a response. So he was obviously looking to beef with Drake

He stall me out with all the softness in hip hop because his boss was Kanye for like 5 years and he ain't have shit to say while he was under him but when Drake get on he has to go at him.

Keep it real Common... this is over some pussy and I'll be the first to admit that Drake is sweeter than a hershey kiss. Common mad cuz Drake was Serena's favorite rapper.

Common bringing back real hip hop!? Really!?!? This nigga was in the white house 2 months ago... This new hardcore common is the fox news common, the rush limbaugh common.

But with all that said, drake will be too pussy to respond and he won't lose a single fan, y'all bitches and lil sisters and brothers will still cop his shit on iTunes.
