Co-sign Chozen's comment. One of the best days of my life was the day I abandoned my belief in God. It felt light a great weight was lifted off me.

Maybe the reason for "the rebellion" is that people don't see the troubles of the world as a battle against God...and there just may be good reason for it. As much as I believe that God has His Hands in everything, it is not up to me to determine what God does with everything. We sometimes put God in this moral paradigm where His Goodness is what we determine for ourselves when we really don't know. We think of blessings being strictly about gaining wealth and prosperity and curses as poverty and despair. It is not to say that it shouldn't feel good to gain wealth, but we don't truly know was is meant by gaining it in God's Eyes. We don't know how God intends to use poverty even though to be poor is not a happy circumstances to be in.

If I understand what you're saying I kind of agree. Like who's to say all your riches and fancy things are a blessing? From one perspective it could be a curse. Or for someone who has barely anything it could be seen as a blessing, they never have a second thought of all their 'poor' things being stolen from them.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" (Ephesians 1:3)

In this verse we can kind of see there is a distinction between the types of blessings that we find in God - they're spiritual blessings. This means, they are not necessarily associated with material things or directly associated with physical things.

Which, is what u seem to be making a point about.

This verse also can be used to prove that if one is not in God, then no matter how happy they feel, in God eyes, they have none of his spiritual blessings. The spiritual ones are the more important ones.

Well, the truth still remains that ALL good things come from above (James 1:17).That would include the material as well as spiritual things. But i see the point you making in that a lot of wealth really can bring a lot more difficulty to a person life in regards to being right with God if that's what you saying.
