Listen dude, you have to take into account shit like sample clearance issues. Alot of songs that were to make it on Sideline Story couldn't get cleared, a lot of the NO ID tracks didn't. What makes you think all those FNL tracks would even get cleared and the album would of come out with the tracks that made it on to the mixtape.

Big fucking difference in releasing music without having to worry about yellow tape shit (sample clearance) and big difference in not having to worry about "singles" placement on a mixtape. If FNL would of come out with the tracklising you listed, it would of bricked sales wise.

Yeah it pains me to say it, but the last time I listened to it I felt myself itching to listen to TRU Realigion or LiveLoveASAP. I wanted to like this album just because it was the culmination of an artist I liked work and I've watched him come up since 09. I realized that I was just forcing myself to listen to it at this point. Just to say I listened more than twice.

It just proved a lot of his detractors right with their takes on his flaws (not able to make songs). Strangest thing is I thought he got over that bump with Friday Night Lights. Hell he pretty much exemplified those flaws Cole World. The sleepworthy production made it even worse.

And had the nerve to regress lyrically on top of that. And morph into Drake and Wale with singing and simping.

For me the only gripes I have with the album is that Cole's production is a little flat(which I guess you could get the boredom thing from), the inclusion of Lights Please and In the Morning and the fact that when he spits a corny line its as corny as possible

other than that I thought the songwriting was on point

I think we may have had this discussion before, but I really don't hear the simping on Sideline Story
