Man he will probably fight at the end of the year, he'll probably have set backs during training.

Dana said no more sideshow fights. lol

He probably will headline a PPV, I mean there's no way Dana would put him on Prelim show or UFConFox card for a big splash like this.

How yall gon hate on him suddenly for doing something he wanna do? Yall sum hoe ass niggas for real

I don't think there's "hate", more so, wtf? really?

His reasons for leaving were creative and injuries. What do you think MMA will do to you? That cauliflower ear isn't a make-up prosthetic. Plus, dude has no experience, and that's the main problem. He doesn't have to work his way in, he gets in and gets a PPV spot. It's the shit he hated the part-timers for.

It's just a big wtf moment..

Yes creative was/is garbage, no creative in ufc you jus go in and fight who your supposed to and win, u win you get better fights title shots and more money, simple yes? and the injuries fucked wit him cause wwe is constanly doin shows and he aint got no time to heal and lets not forget about the wwe doctors..ufc one fight in every other month if your good, punk has experience in bbj nothing major but he got a white belt, who cares if he aint gotta work his way in dana knows theres money in this so why even bother with tuf? Likely even if he sucked theyd let him in anyway because again, it comes down to money, and as far as the part timer shit he aint comming in and bein thrown a title shot at the biggest ppv of the year, shit punk wont even main event unless hes actually good, this is not the wwe

For those that are defending punk, where in his history do you see any proof of this being a wise choice?

No really, say he gets beat and then cut.

You think that one year no compete clause ups and vanishes?

He taking somebody elses spot who is more deserving.

Of all the people that should be a contestant on TUF its him.

He has done nothing to be getting a ppv slot and it aint like the E where everybody going home with a lil extra $$$ just cause his name.

He is worse than the rock with this move.

Hes doing the same thing he was complaining about basically. Coming into the UFC to take the ppv spot of someone whos probably more deserving after he complained about WWE bringing back part time main eventers to help their ppvs.

Not only that but he claimed to be so beat up and shit while working for the WWE and now hes goin to the UFC where shits not scripted at all. I was with him when he first spoke out in the podcast but this move makes you question if he was really that beat down or if he just wanted a way out of his contract so he could go to the UFC

why complain about the rock and brock lesner being part timers who only coming in to boost ppv #'s only to go and do the exact same thing to ufc fighters??

there's cats who been busting their asses for years in mma, that won't get a shot on a ppv cuz they gotta make room for the cm punk ufc debut.....

i mean it's all well and good... but you went to bat for guys who got pumped off of ppv's for rock's and brock's part time matches...

kinda hypocritical....

i'd still love to see him and the green ranger fight....tho

Did he complain about them bringing back part timers or complain about them getting the main event over him, jobbing to them and getting paid less? Is he taking someone's slot who is more deserving or is he bringing the UFC a ton more Payperview buys and making the UFC a ton of money not only on that one night but potentially moving forward as well, everyone seems to think he's going to get his ass kicked with ease but I got this funny feeling Punk knows what he's doing, it's a great marketing tool for him and the UFC I don't see nothing wrong

This is a major question now. He also went to court to fight the no compete clause, which mentions UFC as an organization you can't joint for one year.

CM Punk really shows these people that nitpick why WWE does things that they seem unfair or stupid.

They trademark names because guys will sue for the use of their name and/or use the name WWE made famous to go on to other avenues (which Punk did), they put in no competes to prevent people from using WWE as a platform to join other promotions (which is what Punk is doing).

He says he wants to make things easier for the boys but he continues to do the opposite.

I don't blame him for joining UFC, I'm sure he will make a shit load of money for his fights and will probably be a huge PPV draw for them. I wish him well and as a fan I will watch him win or lose.

That said, what he brought up about WWE doctors is still valid but the rest seems like bullshit now.

Damn......Y'all sound bitter and hateful as fuck......

It's like you're pissed he's trying his hand at MMA instead of going back to Pro Wre.......I mean Sports Entertainment.

I gotta give Punk respect for trying something new....its not your life, its his life and if he feels he can do this, why automatically assume the worse instead of hoping he succeeds.....Just cause he hasnt been training full time and had fights under his belt, that doesnt mean he's gonna get slaughtered. he may be a natural in the octagon. he trained with Rener Gracie and Rener's gone on record saying that Punk could do well. Why would he say that if he didnt believe it himself...Im sure Rener wouldn't cosign Punk if he thought Punk would get murdered.

Plus Rener has used him in demos
