I would have said Mississippi & S. Carolina but 3/4th's of my family heritage/roots is out the Sip (deep in the delta) and 1/4th S.Carolina

I'm from Detroit (and fam in Canada --I'm 2nd generation American), but grew up nearly almost more than half my life in Da Sip (and deep in the Delta as well)....

Da Sip isn't bad as it used to be, it just the pockets in certain areas (Sunflower County, Natchez Trace route SW of of Jackson, Greenwood among others)

Now for my list:

1. East Texas

2. SW to West San Antonio (if you are black, most blacks stay on the eastside)

3. Entire 10 Corridor from Da Sip to Texas

4. East and North Memphis

5. Even tho I love Detroit -- Livonia, Dearborn, Brightmoor and Grosse Pointe (just east of downtown) make list (for different reasons, Detroit heads know what I'm referring to)

6. East St. Louis

At the bolded, lol. I understand. If I wasn't from Brightmoor(Fielding and Schoolcraft) I would feel the same. Livonia and Gross Pointe will get you DWB. Dearborn is alright. Used to always be at Fairlane, Hfcc, UM Dearborn, and Buddies.

Portsmouth VA used to be my stomping ground until they knock down the projects in 1999. Hood bitches galore. I still got robbed there, too. So I should have avoided that place like the plague.

West Virginia - I have no reason to want to go there. None.

Hell that actually goes to all those states that surround Colorado and Wyoming. No reason to visit any of them.

Since I love the south and all the BS that goes with it I cant cosign any but >>Oklahoma, Ar-Kansas, Kentucky, Bama and Mississippi. The coast maybe but I might as well go to Florida. The in the 'Sip is awesome though. Best soul food in America.

Tennessee is a great place to visit. Tons of stuff to do with a family.

North and South Carolina are great places to vacay. More toward the coast with SC.

Georgia I stay here so.............

Louisiana - NOLA and I am from there so.............
