Bet. Reason I asked cause I been tryna do something similar. I jumped into redman albums then listened to Uptown Saturday night by Camp Lo last night. They some rappity rap ass niggas but ski beatz was on production so It balanced out.

i think what helped me get through the first few albums i did listen to was the fact that those were, in most circles, considered classics and not "personal" classics which tends to be more subjective.

Like listening to Illmatic was dope b/c i had always heard about it, but admittedly, my southern bias at that time kept me from giving a LOT of music from other regions a chance.

but i gotta find that thread b/c i think i bumped it a few weeks ago b/c i was trying to listen to another Ghostface album
