Credit lenders want you to have a history of paying people back. Lack of credit is a negative to some.

Mainly used a debit card and paid everything on time, was never interested in using a credit card but I have the number to call and check my score starting next week I'll start putting in calls

I would just get one credit card if I were u axel. Only use it for emergencies and pay it off every month. Credit score will definitely improve

Real shit no credit is actually worse than having bad credit.

Having no credit delayed my wife and I from buying a house for a year. I had no debt and paid off the shit I had early and it was years before we started looking for a house.

I was told to get a credit card with a small limit and just buy little shit and pay it off each month. Did that for a year and got the house no problem.

Shit was weird to me but those the rules we have to play by unless you can buy shit straight cash.

Uh no! You and your wife had no credit and built good credit. If you had bad credit you will have to wait to pay off the credit and then wait longer to have the credit score change.

If you had bad credit then you would have never gotten a good interest rate compared to what you have now. Bad credit lingers around. It is like having a misdemeanor and not having one. Eventually it will drop off. As long as it is there, people can see it.

I am happy to hear you and your wife are starting on the right foot.

Nigga I said "I" didn't have any credit. My wife score at the time was damn near 800. Thing is the house we were buying was based off my salary cause I make way more than she does. Which is why I needed to establish credit not build or repair my credit. What they saw on my credit report was that my car loan, student loan and two other things had been paid off early and it was years ago. So at that time it had been years since I was actually paying off something that actually had my name on it. That is why I was advised to get the credit card and show I can still pay off bills and be on time about it.

You talking about bad credit vs no credit. With no credit they won't even give you a loan. With bad credit you can at least get a loan with a high ass interest rate. Which is why I said no credit is actually worse than having bad credit.

You can still make moves with bad credit with no credit you just shit out of luck.

Cool I misunderstood your post but,............................

Bad credit is still bad credit. Getting a high interest loan is still bad. Yeah you can make moves but it will be more expensive. So those moves would have been backwards.

So having no credit is always better than having bad credit. At least with no credit you can start off with good credit.

props to Ax, but uhhh...c'mon my g...you cant be outchea losing 20lbs all willy nilly brah...you gon float away at the first sign of a gust of wind fam

So having no credit is always better than having bad credit. At least with no credit you can start off with good credit.

You right about how bad credit gets you a bad interest rate and at the end of it all you wind up paying way more than someone with good credit and a good interest rate.

No credit means exactly that no credit. Your credit is neither good or bad when you don't have any credit. That is why they make you get a credit card or some type of bill in your name and have you make monthly payments for a year before they will even give you a loan.

Even though you might have a high interest rate because you have bad credit at least you got the loan and can later refinance for a lower interest rate. With no credit you won't get a loan at all. So with no credit you can't even make the move you need the loan for.

The moves aren't backwards because you can get a lower interest rate on some things later on. If you have a business and need a loan it ain't a backwards move to take the high interest now to get the ball rolling on your business and then go back to the bank and refinance for a lower interest rate. That is better than sitting on the sideline waiting a year or better to establish your credit to finally get the loan because you didn't have any credit. Certain things require striking while the iron is hot. Sometimes its better to wait so you can get a better rate. It all depends on what you need the loan.

My wife and I could wait the year out while I established my credit because we owned the place we were living in before buying the house. So now we own 2 homes and one is used as a rental property and both have damn good interest rates.

No credit and bad credit are similar but they both have good and bad things about them.
