Real shit no credit is actually worse than having bad credit.
Having no credit delayed my wife and I from buying a house for a year. I had no debt and paid off the shit I had early and it was years before we started looking for a house.
I was told to get a credit card with a small limit and just buy little shit and pay it off each month. Did that for a year and got the house no problem.
Shit was weird to me but those the rules we have to play by unless you can buy shit straight cash.
Uh no! You and your wife had no credit and built good credit. If you had bad credit you will have to wait to pay off the credit and then wait longer to have the credit score change.
If you had bad credit then you would have never gotten a good interest rate compared to what you have now. Bad credit lingers around. It is like having a misdemeanor and not having one. Eventually it will drop off. As long as it is there, people can see it.
I am happy to hear you and your wife are starting on the right foot.
Nigga I said "I" didn't have any credit. My wife score at the time was damn near 800. Thing is the house we were buying was based off my salary cause I make way more than she does. Which is why I needed to establish credit not build or repair my credit. What they saw on my credit report was that my car loan, student loan and two other things had been paid off early and it was years ago. So at that time it had been years since I was actually paying off something that actually had my name on it. That is why I was advised to get the credit card and show I can still pay off bills and be on time about it.
You talking about bad credit vs no credit. With no credit they won't even give you a loan. With bad credit you can at least get a loan with a high ass interest rate. Which is why I said no credit is actually worse than having bad credit.
You can still make moves with bad credit with no credit you just shit out of luck.
