Are the Kodi firestick streams more reliable than say downloading kodi to your phone or tablet?

Idk I have it on fire stick and nexus player it works better on the nexus player in my experience

I just experimented with castaway, but can you look at local channels and stuff with it? I just saw mainly sports

For regular channels you would use another addon I just don't know which one since I never needed it
