my personal opinion is both of them ushered in different sounds that other producers wanted to emulate and incorporate. I wouldnt personally pair them against one another b/c at that point, it becomes a matter of preference and because I personally grew up on Cash Money, im obviously biased b/c im more familiar with his body of work more than Dre's.
