Revis is a better cover corner. Woodson is more complete. Cant argue with the choice

cosign, not to mention Woodson had bigger plays (picks for tds). Better than last years choice when Ware got fucked over.

The only good int woodson had was against romo other than that he got Jay Cutler who was throwing ints to everyone same with stafford and brady quinn the packers didnt play anybody and when the packers did woodson didnt do anything

Hands down Revis is the best shutdown CB in the league. Too bad numbers overrule everything when it comes to awards like this. Woodson had 9 picks compared to Revis' 6, 74 tackles compared to 54, 4 FF to 0, and 3 tds to 1. But Revis did lead the league in passes deflected with 31, and thats a great stat.

It is pretty amazing tho at 33 Woodson is still getting it done, but dont worry Revis is 24 and will win this award many times

Woodson deserved it.

you do know Woodson statiscally had the better season right?...Revis simply had more INT's(1) than last year and more passes defensed so

74takcles 18pd's 2.0 sacks 4 FF 9 INT's 3DTD's >>>>54 tackles 31pd's 0.0sacks 0 FF 6 Int's 1DTD on any day of the week....hell some say Sharper mightve had a better year than Revis....not sayin he doesn't deserve the praise but i certianly see why he didn't get the award...Woodson had the better year.

I like the Woodson pick for DPOY. I know Revis is nice also, but people gotta look at that kid from Buffalo. I think his name is Jerrius Bird. Dude had 9 int's this year and he's a rookie on a shit team. He'll probably get rookie of the year unless Sanchez makes the Super Bowl

As a Cowboy fan I gotta give it to Woodson. He was a beast against us. Revis is the best at shutting WR's down but Woodson does a little bit of everything. He forces fumbles, get's sacks, get picks, plays the run...he makes a lot of plays on the field. Revis will hold your top WR to no catches but beyond that he's not at Woodson's level of making plays all over the field. And I think Woodson did cause a fumble on Fitz in that game week.

statistically Woodson played Worse recievers, statistically he wasnt in single coverage most of the time....revis was.....so when i say best corner season since sanders...I mean Revis actually doing what a corner back does and that is leave his recivers stuck on an island all year long. Numbers dont tell that story...eyes do...and everyone with they're own eyes so a dominant performance probably historically and just ignored that shit because of fuckin touchdowns....something someone will probably do later on...but i doubt what revis did this year could be done again consistently....only if revis surprises us next year....but probably gets robbed again

lmao!!....r u serious....the award wasn't for BEST CORNER OF THE YEAR....it wasn't for BEST SHUTDOWN PERFORMANCE OF BIGTIME WR'S THE YEAR...it was for DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR.....Revis did his thing no doubt....he shut WR's down i get that...Woodson did alot more DEFENSIVELY for his team than Revis...to say a corner's job is to keep a wideout on an island is ridiculous b/c they have to not only do that but provide run support and basically are the last line of defense especially alot more now than back then when Primetime was holdin it down....Woodson made plays and altered games by doing so(i.e. forcing fumbles, returning picks to TD's, sacking the QB and stopping an offensive drive), not saying Revis didn't either but cleary Woodson's impact on his defense was more than Revis' on his...this year.....

Find a bridge real quick my nigga and just face plant off that shit. You cannot be serious. You act like it was a total sham. Revis was great corner. Total shutdown corner. But Woodson could do that too AS WELL AS sack the qb, turn momentum in the game by forcing a fumble (he started the packers turnaround against the cardinals), and he helped lead the team in tackles.

Get off your shit.

Totally disagree with Woodson winning it, and it is probably because the voters haven't seen Revis play DOWN after DOWN. He physically phases the other team's top reciever out of the game. No one in the game right now has the cover skills of Revis. Everyone keeps bringing up Woodson stats, but Revis doesn't put himself in position to get beat because he never takes big chances. He just clamps on you. And in a league where it is set up to pass first, that is why people were so mad over Revis being snubbed. Also the way he covers allows the Jets to tool their defense so they can dail up so may blitzes. Watch this weekend, they are going to put Revis on Jackson one on one and base their defense according to that. The packers never modeled their defense around Woodson, and that's fact.
