Who do you think is the best in the game right now? (I know this is a hard one)

Best in the game? OG's Jay Z, New Jacks Drake and Kendrick.

What direction do you see hip-hop and the rap game taking over the next few years, do you have any inside information on any projects we should be excited about?

Hip Hop needs to be broader. We've put ourselves in a box and I think that's wack.

Finally, who do you think is currently great but really under the radar, and that we should be paying more attention to?

I will always say Killa Mike is the illest under the radar....

who do you think the king of New York is?

Mayor Bloomberg.

Where do you see The Breakfast Club in 5 years? One thing you love and one thing you hate about Yee and Envy?

Well we are already Nationally syndicated so in 5 years we will be on alot more markets and I know we will be the morning show that really matters. We just want to be amongst the great morning shows that have ever done it. I hate Yee and Envy. Don't love anything about them.

I’d like to get your opinion about Kanye West & Miley Cyrus getting together for the remix of New Slaves.

First of all I hate the song "New Slaves" because their is no such thing as a "New Slave" Slaves in the 1800's didn't get the opportunity to make millions of dollars off their talent. In fact slaves didn't have a choice of wanted they wanted to do they were forced to work in those fields. If you don't like being a part of corporate america and you feel like you are a quote on quote "Slave" QUIT. Find something else to do.

Do you think Jay-Z really had something to do with you being let go at 100.3, or is that just an internet rumor?

I'm not sure but let's keep that rumor going because it's amazing for my brand. That part of my book will look dope.

Who is the lightest skinned man that you trust?

My brother Dj Frosty. The only beige, waffle colored guy I truly trust.

What album are you looking most forward to this year and for what reason(s)?

A lot of the albums I've been looking forward to have dropped. Magna Carta, Yeezus (tho I was disappointed), J Cole, Wale, Kendrick Lamar i'm looking forward to Pusha T right now tho

Why didn't you like yeezus? Did you feel like he was trying too hard to be different or something else?

I just didn't like Yeezus because sonically it wasn't pleasing to my ears. Shit was weak.

Do you think the role of the internet has played in helping artists gain exposure has helped or hurt the hip hop industry and culture? Obviously there are lots of talented artists that have used it to their advantage, but has it caused the industry to become too supersaturated with sub-par "artists" getting into the industry purely based on manipulative marketing?

The internet has helped everyone! It's leveled the playing field to me. I love it. It's just as many sub par rappers now as it was 10 years ago they just have a new outlet to be heard.

What do you think about the Mister Cee announcement?

What announcement? I think it's interesting and opens up another conversation about what is homosexuality? Are you gay if you get head from men repeatedly? Because he doesn't identify as gay. It's interesting.

Will you and Lil Duval ever do another Hood State of The Union?

Probably no more Hood State of The Union. That was a moment in time we did that now time to do other things like more TV and movies!

Are A$AP Rocky and his braids another victim of The Curse Of Charlemagne? And what does that mean for Pusha T and his upcoming album?

Asap is defying the odds right now and Pusha T might as well.

Do you have a set criteria for who gets Donkey Of The Day?

No set crieteria for Donkey of The Day. You do something stupid you get a Hee Haw.

Do you think Chief Keef with time and practice can develop a pen game as deep as Nas?

Jesus doesn't work those kind of miracles sir.

Who do you think the best rapper alive is? And who is your favorite rapper right now?

Best rapper alive? Jay Z. My favorite rapper right now? I like a few of them Wale, Big Sean, Kendrick but honestly and hip hop heads will hate this my favorite rapper right now is Juicy J.

Did you change your view point on MGK’s music?

No. Still don't like MGK's music.

Who is your favorite person to interview and is there someone you haven’t got to interview that you want to or just shoot the shit with?

Favorite people to interview. Flocka, 2 Chainz, Ray J those guys always give great talk.

Do you have any advice for young people who want to be rappers one day?

Quit. Go get a real job. Unless you have amazing talent.

I like the way you approach things but I'm just sayin' you could drop some real wisdom because you are so immersed in hip hop. can you back up your statement

Man listen rap isn't for everybody. A lot of time and energy is wasted chasing a dream that isn't for you. A lot of people especially black youth just want to be successful so when they see people of color they identify with they are in sports and entertainment so that's the dream they chase

I just recently celebrated one full year of working in professional radio and am now gearing up to hopefully make my first market jump in the coming months. Besides the obvious of updating my air check and resume what else would you recommend I do to really sell myself properly and standout from my competition in the radio job search process?

Salute! Keep working don't refer to the market you're in as nothing because that shows a lack of gratitude for your current position. You must be thankful for what you have in order to be blessed with more. I was always taught be thankful for the little things and bigger things will come. So with that said "Keep Pushing" airchecks, resumes that's what I did constantly sending them out but make sure you have a heavy online presence as well. Any bit or interview you do or break you do that you think is entertaining an compelling share with your online followers. You never know who may hear it and reach out. That's what happen to me and as far as standing out as a personality. "Be Yourself" nobody can do you better than you. You're born an original so be that!!

which do you prefer to convey your thoughts: the interviews or radio? Where are you more comfortable and candid?

I like all mediums. I have a lot of thoughts. I feel different depending on the setting but I would say my favorite avenue will always be radio.

if you could do a Breakfast Club interview with any rapper dead or alive, who would it be and why?

That's easy Pac. Wasn't a huge fan of his music but I'm a huge fan of his personality. He's such a multi dimensional complex figure I know it would be interesting.

you fux with max b?

Hell yeah. Had the pleasure of meeting Max several times. He dope as fuck.

is there any advice you could give out to those wanting to work on the radio?

Be Yourself! It's called Radio "Personality" for a reason. You have a unique personality that is all your own and nobody can be like you so express yourself!

How long do you see yourself doing radio? Do you really believe in the plan the white man has for you? Seems a bit like you down black people at times.

I never downplay blackpeople. I am black. I downplay Niggas. It's a HUGE difference between black people and Niggas and Niggas aren't just black. Yes the white man has a plan for me. What do you think radio syndication is and all these TV shows? This is God and the Whitemans plan!!

How do you feel the gentrification of both New York and New York hiphop have affected New York's musical influence as a whole, maybe positively and negatively.

I don't think it was gentrification I just think these kids didn't grow up on that East Coast boom bap like us 80's babies did. They grew up when the south was popping dominating radio and the clubs so that's what sound influenced them.

Who is the funniest comedian off the set of Guycode?

Lil Duval and Andrew Schulz.

But, I just wanna know what your name means/how you got it.

I used to sell crack. On the block I would call myself Charles because I didn't want fiends to know my real name because I was afraid they would tell my parents and I was in night school one day reading a history book and I stumbled upon Charlamagne which is French for Charles The Great so I started calling myself Charlamagne. Tha God is from 5% teachings of Islam.

If you were going to be interviewed on a show like yours, what questions or comments would you be worried about getting?

None Transeprancy works both ways. If ask what I want I have to answer what they want.

would you rather fuck Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga?

Neither. Katy Perry.

you like kid cudi's music?

Love the "Pursuit of Happiness" record on Project X.

at what age did you start going bald?

Don't remember but this guy started fucking up my hairline way back when and it never recovered.

what is your favorite release of 2013?

Good Kid Mad City.

Who is on your hip-hop Mount Rushmore?

Jay Z, Biggie, Nas, Pac, and Scarface.

who's your favorite personality? (doesn't have to been in rap/hiphop)

Chelsea Handler, Joan Rivers, Petey Greene, Star, and Howard Stern.

I feel like the quality of current "r&b" has been really affected by pop music - where do you think r&b is headed and where SHOULD it go?

I think R&B is in a great space some real good R&B has come out the past couple of years. Miguel album, K Michelle, TGT, Dream, The Weekend, Drake.....

Does it matter who (Ray J vs. Kanye) hit it first?

Nope because neither one of them hit it first.

Are you gonna take a sick day next time Gucci Mane comes to the studio?

Yes. Yes I am.

Do you ever worry about things spilling into the streets with Hot 97?

Nope.

What is your issue with Drake? Seems like you never give him props

I think he can rap. Hate when he sings those corny ass love songs.

What is Kendrick Lamar like?

Great Guy. Very Humble.

do you have some beef with Jay Pharaoh? I was watching your shit the other day and it seemed like you wanted to get shit off your chest..

Jay Pharoah is my guy. Cool dude.

When Webbie came to the show he was relentless in his dealings with Angela Yee. Who has been most entertaining around her/ any good stories of famous people/rappers coming on to Ang?

So many rappers try to hit on Angela I lose count.

Will you convince 2 Chainz to make "Mainstream Ratchet" a single?

I love that record. Was talking about it this morning with him actually.

he says he doesnt like 2pac music....just his personality

than a few questions later he say he would put him on mount rushmore of hiphop

SMMFH

Do you think Chief Keef with time and practice can develop a pen game as deep as Nas?

hahahaha
