Would make more sense even if cops got shot in other cities within Louisiana or Minnesota. What I want explained is when was it ever protocol to use a bomb disposal robot to deliver a bomb?

It was far less than 24 hrs. Phil was pronounced dead around 9pm. If there was to be a protest in Dallas, the appropriate paperwork would have had to been filed the next morning in order for it be sanctioned by city hall and not broken up immediately. Also, in order for there to be a police presence of that size, again, the paperwork needs to be filed. In this case the city of Dallas usually requires 45 days advanced notice, but because this is a response to an unforeseen event it can take place immediately but the police still have to make preparations to secure the path they will march on. This means that there was less than 12 hours, assuming the paperwork was filed at 8am on the day of the shootings, between the time the paperwork was filed and the police were notified.

The logistics of carrying out a planned hit along the route the march was taking down to knowing the positions the police were taking along that route would take you more time that was available. He would have needed to have obtained the designated route as well as police placement along that route in advance which would have only happened if he were getting assistance from someone inside both city hall as well as the police department.

I seriously doubt this was the case.

The point here is that this was NOT a "planned hit" as the media suggested. And, because they blew him up, we'll never know any of the details that went into it either.
