Yeah as soon as he stopped cussin' I wasn't really fuckin' wit him no more and listenin' to him just felt unnatural. I thought I was the only that thought this so I never said anything. I wish his brother Rasaq was still rappin'...

Damn I didn't even know about the ammunition ep...

Also it was wack to say youre not cussing... Just don't cuss

Truthfully I didn't even realize he didn't cuss in his music until he started talking about it in every interview but I actually fucked with a mixtape he put out last year...had one of my fav songs of the year "It's My World" w/ Big KRIT

From what Chamillionaire said, the record label wanted him to sell his soul. They wanted him to go commercial and wouldn't let him have creative freedom over his album so he walked. Now he's selling his own independent albums on his website and getting show money. He didn't "fall off". Universal gave him the "Lupe Fiasco" treatment so he just left and said fuck it. I still crank that mixtape he came out with last year.

Yeah, Major Pain went hard, but I still don't get it. He claims they wanted him to go "mainstream" and "sell his soul" but all of his mainstream singles had more substance than 99 percent of what's out here. I fail to see how tracks about corrupt media attention (Morning/Evening News) and police brutality (Ridin' Dirty) are soul-selling. Furthermore, nothing he's addressed on the mixtapes couldn't have come out on Universal. I could see if he started dropping pro-Islamic, anti-American verses on everything, but he just isn't.

*shrug*

He didn't sell his soul to Universal. That's why he couldn't leave with all music he worked on. Now he's coming back with Ammunition EP and who knows where from there

yup from what i hear this is the situation ... and if you know from the past similar situations with the clipse ... you know the way to get out your deal is to get quiet ... cham has always been a indy i'll get myself type of dude especially if they trying to mess with his music ..... props hope it works out for him like it did the last time around ............. def checking for dude .....
