and it's not desperate, first off, they knew this day was coming when they sign k.g. and ray, that's why their contracts all expire at the same time. second it's called being a good G.M. and doing your job. The point is suppose to win, so you do everything you can to win. Danny f'ked up letting Perk go and he knows that, but still he's doing what a G.M. is suppose to do, throw ish out there and see what sticks.

at this point it's smart with the money they will be have to go and start over

but danny does not wanna do that, and rivers signed back for some reason and it wasnt to start over again...so something is up danny's sleeve, if it will work, who knows.

Yea rondo is a mental head case, (see the obama comment, and how he rondo acted when perk got traded) at the end of the day, danny and no GM should care about the feelings of their players, well to an extent. Their job is to win, and by really any means necessary, and players know, or should know that. It's the nature of the business...maybe if rondo had worked on his shot and provided more scoring chances to easy off the big 3 then this wouldnt be a problem for him.

shit he ended the season on some bum shit his performance declined quickly after Perk got traded but this aint the 1st time Rondo's name has been thrown in trade rumors Ainge has said nobody on the team is untradable

yea that's another thing, the hornets arent trying to let him to go free agency, without getting anything back, the knicks have nobody anyone wants after melo and amare...so they have no bargining chips there

Report: Chris Paul Would Not Sign A Contract Extension With Celtics

New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul would not be open to signing a long-term contract extension with the Boston Celtics, reports Chris Broussard. Such an extension would be considered crucial if the Boston Celtics and the New Orleans Hornets were to come to terms on a potential trade for the All-Star guard.

“Let all the CP3-to-Boston chatter cease. CP will not sign long-term ext with Celtics, according to source close to situation,” Broussard said in a tweet this morning.

Broussard originally reported yesterday that the Boston Celtics would be open to trading star point guard Rajon Rondo in return for a legitimate scoring presence. It has since been reported that the club has spoken to the New Orleans Hornets about acquiring Paul, a point guard who is considered to have a much more polished scoring game than Rondo. They have also reportedly spoken to the Indiana Pacers.

Paul can become a free-agent following this season, and has several times indicated that he would like to leave New Orleans for a team where he can be more competitive. He has been rumored to be interested in signing with the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers, but not the Celtics.
