Canibus Vs, Dizazster....

As cringe worthy the whole ordeal developed into (he started off well), this shouldn't be the "nail in his coffin" as so many people inside and outside the industry want to see. I doubt he'll go out like this, but I could be wrong. Who knows for sure but him?

Yeah it pissed off a lot of his fans (especially those who flew to Cali to see this), and the backlash he faces will come from all angles, which is something he's dealt with for a majority of his career. I don't see this being any different.

I'm still purchasing his latest release, and I still check for his music, even if he continues getting his name and image smeared, which seems to be more trendy than anything else, since the same people talking the most shit are the ones who constantly say he's irrelevant (i.e Royce).

But looking from another angle, why do so many people want him gone from hip-hop?

I've seen people careers' carry on after: being tea-bagged on t.v after years of ripping on gays; getting caught fucking with a tranny; pissing on a underage girl on tape; lying about accepting payola; having a documented history of ripping off artists; fabricating their past as a big time drug dealer; and plenty more.

What happened Saturday pales in comparison, to the things fans, other artists, and many members of the hip-hop community have let slide over the years.

c/s

the star quality was what he was lacking in the 90s to change the game. He didn't have that "look", the "it" factor, on some WWE shit. He had all the skills, but not someone who you could market to anyone other than the hardcore rap fan.

if he didn't blow up after being showcased on a Grammy nominated/winning song, Ghetto Superstar, had the best verse on 4,3,2,1, and beat LL in battle, then he was never destined to shine.

If he had something other than lyrics to bring to the table, maybe the rap game would be different than what it is today. When he slayed LL on 2nd Rd KO, everyone thought that the game was about to change and niggas was going to have to come with some lyrcial shit all the time to stay alive. It could have been history repeating itself, same as when Kool Moe Dee went at Busy Bee Starski with firey lyrics against the party type of hip hop, people ate that up and the game changed from that point. Then when LL went at Moe Dee with a new style, the game changed again. But instead, with 'Bis and LL, someone and/or something wanted things to stay the way they were and 'Bis never reached that plateau of success that comes with someone who can change things. I still don't know what happened. Now rappers like him are strictly underground and basically unheard of on the mainstream.

People say 'Bis couldn't write a song that could be marketed or played on the radio, but what was I Honor U? That song never saw the light of radio when it was released as a single. If he found some sort of success with that song, maybe he would have continued that trend of making songs like that and maybe his career would have gone down a different path. Even 2000 BC was hot, but it was a straight up street album, no singles for the mainstream airwaves. He gave the fans what they wanted since they were pissed at Wyclef's production of his first album, but he still didn't succeed.

I don't know what happened to dude after that. He had a couple more good albums with the Mic Club series and that Horsemen album that was shelved but leaked, Rip the Jacker, a couple more, but at that point, it sounded like he lost the love for spittin' tight bars and started using words you find in scientific readings. It all makes sense when he uses the words, but damn, he didn't have to do that at first to make a tight line. He's a shell of himself.

That's why I'm closing the casket on dude. It was fun while it lasted, but the ride is over.

He told a man he had "peanut butter brown honey eyes"

I don't even think Diz seemed upset to hear that unless I just didn't notice his reaction.

Anyone have a full vid if the battle? I haven't seen any of Dizasters rounds in this one.

Battle will be on youtube in a month probably

People are on here talking real disrespectful about Bis...you young niggas have no clue how raw Canibus was about 10 years ago. He was truly way ahead of his times. The nigga obviously looks like he has some mental/emotional issues he needs to work on. Show some fuckin respect you herb ass niggas

Can someone let me know how the Illmaculate vs Arsonal battle went down?? I heard arsonal was being a dick head again and that it didnt even go to 3 rounds. is that true?

was is the keyword, but now that nigga look like Justin Beiber out there rapping

released a atrocious diss song to J Cole = Lost,

choke up & come to a battle with a third grader tablet = Lost

pausing & taking 5 minutes between bars like he doing a presentation = Lost

Having a career based on "battle rap" lyrics, going on for years about how he will "eat, eat, eat, eat emcees" then getting his chance to show and prove with over 3 months of Preparation time and failing in the 2nd round. Fail.

it over for canibus not because this was the worst thing a rapper has ever done

its over for canibus because this is the worst thing CANIBUS could ever do

he is Canibus. he posed to have bars on bars on bars.

matter of fact

check his own lyrics for proof of the felony committed

"Come sit with me, I show you how I consistently

manifest multiplicity, lyrically if you can do the same let me see

If you can then you are not my enemy

And if can not then I must make you a better emcee

Lets turn to page three we'll start there

The contract says you gotta have a thousand bars to spare"

WTF

u gotta have 1000 bars to spare to step to Canibus?

nigga

he dont even got 1000 bars to spare
