I get what you was asking in the question, but at the same time you gotta understand that this is hip hop we talking about here, the same rules don't apply like it would in R&B or pop music. Your look should fit your content to an extent, but no one is really checking for looks on a physical level like that in hip hop except for maybe the ladies. In fact if a pretty nigga was to come out, if he ain't on no Drake shit, niggas won't even take him seriously. What I mean by Drake shit is that real emotional for the ladies type of music. But that's about it. If you an ugly dude, hip hop fans can really care less if your bars are nice, and you ain't rapping about getting bitches and fucking all the time, because then niggas ain't believing that.
