I disagree. The reason I think that gangs turned from the positive to the negative has a great deal to do with government political policies and economics. Because of the globalization of jobs and factories from the hood to help capitalist development and fucking over other countries, the focus of gangs changed from helping to getting money. That in turn led to more violence in the communities in order to profit because of the lack of jobs available. I think it also has to do with the fact that many leaders were getting locked up that helped to steer gangs in a positive direction. I don't believe in the Illuminati, but I think that the basis of capitalism and exploitation creating problems is not an illusion. Socio-economics has much to do with individual behaviors.

I can agree with this...but I don't believe that this was Whites keeping Blacks down as much as rich people trying to exploit poor people and trying to ensure that they could continually be exploited.
