Men get raped too... During deployment, etc., but most are too afraid/ashamed to report it. Rapists should have their own units, so they can rape each other.

A lot of that is true. Females do fuck their way to the top in some situations. But its just SOME. Most of them have actually earned their spot. And favoritism in the military goes both ways. There are way more Chiefs/NCO/Sergeants etc that have their favorite male Sailor,Solider or Marine that they'll go the extra mile for around evaluation time.

If anything women have a harder time advancing because of their gender. Some of it they bring on themselves. Some of it is how many of them fuck up and give females a bad wrap (getting pregnant to get out of deployment, using excuses to get out of hard work/heavy lifting, crying rape to get out of NJPs because you got caught fucking somebody & you dont wanna get busted down...) And some of it is just plain old sexism.

To be honest Im all for women being in the military. But its a "long as I dont have to deal with her" type of thing. Yeah let them in. But dont put them in my division. Too much trouble.

My point is you likely WON'T have to deal with women because you're probably 3 or 4 levels DOWN from a woman in the chain of command.

I *really* wish you wouldn't make assumptions. The whole ranking is simply a mindf#ck to devalue/demoralize the masses in the lower ranks and gas up the middle management (senior enlisted to lower level officer ranks).

What I know for sure is that the people that I respect the most are those who are humble when they're high ranking.

Those who don't walk around expecting their asses to be kissed. Those who NEVER pull rank unless some assh@le decides to start some sh!t and gets completely out of hand.

Those people are few in between.

What concerns me most PERSONALLY is that more people MAKE IT BACK IN ONE PIECE sound body AND mind. That's my concern.

Not one time have I disparaged enlisted people. But I do think it's completely and entirely b!tchmade that any man will joke about MST. That sh!t happens to both MEN and WOMEN. No bueno. Why the fuck not it's one of the safest places to be especially when shit hits the fan. I been a Marine for 17 years and I'm not a maniac and I've deploye 3 times to combat. I will say you have to be more brave and selfless than the average dude to be about this life, if you're bitch made you get weeded out with the quickness. But down get it twisted thinking that because your on a Marine Corps Base some Devil Dog is going to pull you into the bushes and dicc you down against your will.

No disrespect BUT #1 I'M A WOMAN. #2 Congratulations for making it back safe. #3 Marines are extremely polite, and courageous and #4 Errbody knows Marines are BAT SH!T CRAZY! It's the crazy that keeps y'all ALIVE! #5 I prefer shopping on NAS or AFB, because they cater moreso to OFFICERS, more of a Country Club environment and better overall accommodations.

A "good" Marine shouldn't think it's OK to celebrate rape culture.

But that sh!t flies.

I'm not worried about my SAFETY because I don't fraternize.

I move in the shadows and I don't have to engage a target to neutralize them.

But to think I condone rape is ridiculous and to think rape in the military is only an enlisted problem you must live in the shadows. Female officers especially at TBS and OCS have the same sexual abuse/harrassment issues as does any female in a male dominated work place. Just because they wear shiny shit on there collar doesn't make them any less vulnerable to it.

Did you even READ the ORIGINAL ARTICLE???? I responded to the ACTUAL TOPIC OF THE THREAD.

Which depicted enlisted women in HUMILIATING/DEGRADING photos.

Then a couple of posters encouraged EACH OTHER to share their PERSONAL STASHES.

I then expanded my comments to indicate that MST (I'm NOT defining it for you either) affects BOTH MEN AND WOMEN.

I then commented that NO ONE should have to worry about one of their own attacking them.

I was pretty sure that the term MST covers EVERYONE.

But if not, MST AFFECTS ALL SERVICE MEMBERS.... There you go!

And NO I do not shop enough to care about how "nice" some places can or might be. I simply gave my PERSONAL preference.
