The fucked up thing is that C-Murders version was released before Pacs version was released on an album. P must have laid down some serious $$$ to Pacs mom for that to happen.

There were rumors back in the day that was P was in negotiations with Pacs mom to buy some of his unreleased catalogue. That being said:

C's when we ride on our enemies >> Ja's "the pledge"

I think The Dipset re-did Bone Thugs 1st Of Tha Month and it was horrible.

Michael Jackson's version of The Beatles "Come Together" isn't very good either.

The Best:

Biggie's "Going Back To Cali" > LL Cool J's "Going Back To Cali"

Lil Wayne's "Go DJ" > UNLV's "Go DJ"

Nigga what?!?!? Mike Jack ripped "Come Together" at the end of the Moonwalker tape back in 88. Fuck you talkin bout?

Rap remakes are stupid to begin with. Hip Hop already borrows heavily for other sources, about the only thing truly original about a Hip Hop song are the lyrics and the actual concept/arrangement. If you take away those things, then what the hell have you actually done. It's not like singing where you can take someone's song and do it completely different due to differences in the way it's sung. A rap is a rap. And even if you do change the lyrics, it still just comes off like you remixing someone else's shit. That's wack.
