actually i think he wanted to main event with the rock and be given a chance to prove he can be an a level guy, u can mention starpower but dude merch was up there with cena, and he was number one amongst the true wrestling fan. and anyone in the world would complain or want to complain about they're checks slowly getting lower and lower while their worth to their job gets higher and higher bruh come on now. plus everyone in the company money affected by the network, idk if he should be gettin brock/rock money since they bring a whole other eye to the company, but u mean to tell me he didnt have the best match on that lackluster ass mania he was talkin about? i see his point on that one. plus vince "owed" him one. and i think his point about droppin the belt was timing(triple threat at mania would have been best for business) and what would happen next(as we know wwe has no continuity on ANYONE'S storylines)

He DID main event with Rock though. And everyone doesn't get that chance, only if they believe in you. Punk was given a 434 day title reign anyhow, always beat Cena and was booked to be top of the chain so he can't complain.

And starpower? His merch was high, his ratings and PPV buyrates were terrible though. And he had no recognition outside of hardcore wrestling fans.

He was #1 among true wrestling fans? I disagree. He was straight for a few years, then got sloppy and boring as he was focused on more.

His paychecks getting lower is fine to complain about. Not getting Rock/Brock money isn't. He has the best match....so? Does John Morrison and the Shield and whoever has the best match get to get paid more than bonafide main eventers like Rock and Taker......because they had a good match? Nah, it doesn't work that way and never should.

Vince owed him one and gave him a 434 day reign. I think the debt was paid. He beat Shield 3v1 and was going to beat HHH at WM (which is a big deal). How is that not paying him back. I don't defend WWE at all, but Punk was unreasonable.

And the triple threat wouldn't have been best for business. Rock/Cena II was tbh despite how trash it was. Plus Taker needed a match, and Punk was given that honor (and it is an honor).

Rock/Brock would also have been best for business, but WWE got something for Cena winning for w/e reason.

lol @ beating retired hhh being a big deal, the same hhh who had lost most of his last few mania matches and needs to stay his ass backstage instead of always hoggin and bringin out the shovel, he should have beatin hhh after the pipe bomb, and he did have a ppv main event that improved from the previous years ppv, w/o john cena to help, along with that merch. and he did get sloppy for a period, but to act like he didnt have the best match at mania and easily the best match with brock since he returned, along with an assortment of other GREAT matches is somewhat ridiculous. who else besides daniel bryan that was near the main event ranked higher among the true wrestling fan. maybe he's reaching on getting paid for best match of the night, but i can see why he'd wanna get paid like he was nearly as important as cena or the part timers...because at that point he was. vince put the strap on him but he earned the right for a 434 day run by staying over and busting his ass, not vince giving it to him. he ran with it.

yeah wwe believed in punk so much in his feud with rock they made him drop the belt to a part timer

few months later he lost to another part timer, taker

and months later he lost to another part timer, lesnar

punk busted his ass night in and night out fighting through injuries while all these wrestlers who beat him aren't showing up on tv from months to a year. he's looking weak to the casual wwe fan

Vince kept saying he owed punk after his title reign ended, so the debt wasn't paid. punks reward for all of his hard work wasn't a victory over the shield or hhh and you know that so your defense goes out the window

ratings and buyrates have been low with cena/orton as champ as well. again, another argument that goes out the window

punk vs taker at WM29 was booked as one of the main draws. it wasn't just a random match that happened to steal the show. people wanted to see it just as much if not more than they wanted to see rock/cena or hhh/lesnar. he's a part of that ppv's success as everyone else. he should be paid accordingly

rock vs cena vs punk sounds a lot better than rock vs cena. you know, the "once in a lifetime" match that was booked twice?

9 months into his 434 day reign and punk, as wwe champion, only main evented one ppv. TLC 2011, only because cena wasn't on the card. he played second fiddle to whatever feud cena was in. cena vs johnny ace main evented a ppv, yet punk vs DB for the wwe title couldn't. he wasn't main eventing unless he was facing cena and until he faced the rock, which was his last night as champion

so even during his historic reign, he still wasn't being booked as well as you suggested

Let me ask you guys a question about it being a work or not...

Who here would drop their entire life savings in Vegas, betting on Punk not showing up at Wrestlemania 31?

if this is a work..... I want him to come back with this theme

i like cult of personality too....but i just feel like this fire burns would just fit the situation....

or just come back with a new theme and have people like

"who the fu.....OMG ITS CM PUNK!!!!!"

yeah im pre marking....fight me niggas

Cena/Brock was better than Punk/Brock by far. First and second (for shock value).

Also, I'll say it again, Punk was given more than he deserved, given a 400+ day title reign. For him to complain is laughable.

Y'all are missing the point. CM Punk was busting his ass, making all the appearances, working injured/hurt. He knew they didn't view him in the same light as the Rock or Cena. Hence the chip on his shoulder to prove them wrong. All he asked for was to main event WrestleMania. Vince tried to bs Punk by claiming he was "main eventing". Punk's idea of the triple threat made sense and it would've been a better match. So then Punk asked if I was "main eventing" did I get paid like Taker/HHH/Cena/Brock/Rock? Which he knew he didn't, they tried to gas him up to get him to shut up.

Punk's other main point was that he was literally dying and all they cared about was him making appearances and working shows. He just needed time off to heal properly. Then you had dr Kevorkian literally misdiagnosing Punk in order to get him back in the ring. Which brings up a bigger issue and that is guys and gals in the locker room are being overworked and have to work through injury. Punk is in a position where he can say something but the Heath Slater's and Xavier Woods have no choice. And if they were misdiagnosing Punk then you know others were being misdiagnosed as well.
