they gotta take the l on this one, just bring him back next year, hope that he has a great season and hope a team trades for him next trade deadline. 80 mill is too much money to buyout unless they really wanna get rid of him that badly.

They better off trading him after this big offseason. People are gonna want to establish title contenders and he would be a great asset to a team that has a need for a PG (NY Knicks?)

yeah they aint voiding his contract. That just isn't happening. They don't have a leg to stand on even if Gil goes to jail. They should have never gave him the contract anyway. The only thing they got is that Gil doesn't want to play in washington anymore so he either wants to get traded or a buy out. But voiding his contract isn't going to happen. Anyone who thinks so is just fooling themselves.

He looked okay but not great out there, that and his large contract. If he can go back to his pre injury form teams may take a chance on him.

the knee injury is what changed everything. before he got hurt he was a top player in the league with 50 pt games etc= was worth the money.... after the injury he came back early then blamed the Wizards for "allowing him to come back" when he reinjured it i dont think the NBA is like the NBA when it comes to voiding contracts and cutting guys. so he is gonna get paid something unless they find a loophole. I wouldnt buy him out cuz next yr he will be motivated to play good maybe then they can trade him
