In normal terms (warfare) this would be true, but since we are talking about the end of the Age....the key ingredient to it all is the Lord.

For He is the One who is also coming to fight. Therefore the hammer will be counted as nothing in His sight. And no military instrument of war that Babylon wields will be able to avert the coming destruction or inflict any pain upon the One who will fight from heaven.

You see it’s not just the 10 Kong’s who will destroy America in 1 hour, but God Himself that will also finish the job to make sure that no one is left alive inside of Babylon the Great on the day of her destruction.

I take it as arrogance. Since we the "leadership" feels they have the biggest, best, and most expensive weapons that diplomacy doesn't apply anymore. If any nation (not being asia or russia) doesn't sing our song, they will become a "small thing to a giant".
