Oh and the king and queen mentality is not good. There's a difference between saying something and believing it. The way black men and women carry on in the world and treat each other it is evident that mentality hasn't come to fruition. As for suggestions.

1. Family structure. Sounds easy but that's not something one could oversee. No one has the right to dictate who another man lays down with but the out of wedlock children and etc is alarming. I wish that would reverse.

2. Education. Now you seem like an intelligent person. I believe you are racist and possibly violent which is disturbing but smart enough to know kids need education. Black youth need education more than anything and need to take it seriously. I intern over the summers at an elementary school and it is troubling to see how some kids perform and the focus and energy that is wasted in things that frankly don't matter. You know these 10 year old kids have Jordans and Lacoste shirts but can't write in cursive.

Is that a skill that is needed to succeed in life? Not really, which makes it all the more importance in mastering it. It's a simple task yet, so many could not do it and really didn't care to learn it. I believe there is a cultural problem when it comes to certain youths and education. That's where a proper family structure would help.

3. This discussion is a perfect example. You basically made up some doomsday scenario in your head as if we are going to war and on the front lines. You basically stated you would shoot me. Fancy that? Calling for "unity" but at the same time stating you would kill another black man simply because he doesn't agree with you? I'm convinced there is severe trauma in too many black men's lives that has caused them to want to harm one another for no reason.

The basic fact that most of us are descendants of African slaves proves otherwise.

Even though today we are not in physical bondage we suffer under covert agendas and state sanctioned brutality.

Fact is we are organized against because of our genetics and skin color before anything else.

we share many commonalities, we are a people whether we like it or not.

In the bible, when the hebrews left egypt (kemet) they left as groups and cliques, and tribes, and there were even strangers among them. There were obvious divisions among them.. However in the desert wilderness in order to survive they had to solidify under common ideologies and be a people.

For Blacks, America is our wilderness, and right now we are a scattered people, having survived the brutality of slavery and pre civil rights violence because of collective identity, we have abandoned these elements because we've assumed we've made it, when the writing on the wall clearly points that no we have not.

in order for us to survive a a people, as a nation we must regain our collective identity once more.

There is no large scale transition of power without war and conflict. Seems like many people are naive and believe that the black youth reading books is the solution to the situation. I'm not trying to downplay the value of knowledge and education, because no organization or movement can be formed without this, but people need to understand the opposition we would be faced with if we did begin to thrive in the school system and develop economically. This would disturb a system that benefits significantly off our ineptitude. Understanding how we came to be present in this country and the circumstances we've had to face here, I find the thought that we would strive as a people by simply operating within the same system to be absurd.

We don't need a leader at this moment, but we do need leadership. We need strong, but humble Black brothers and sisters to get together to organize and develop agendas to educate our miseducated and misinformed.

There are external steps to be taken, but the first is a revolution of the psyche. Black people have to change the way we see ourselves and each other.
