@Cain1, I'm going to make this easy on you.

What don't you believe in?

So, I'll make this easy for you.

Since you're not understanding the burden of proof.

Reality is based half on your senses and your perception of them. We all have the same senses but we all perceive them differently. This means that we all share the same reality and at the same time everyones reality is different.

So

If someone applies for a job then goes home and prays to god that he gets that job and then he ends up getting that job then god exists for that person and there is nothing you could do to disprove him. Cause god genuinely exists in his reality. The proof is in the fact that he prayed and his prayer came true. In his reality god exists. Now you can call what happened coincidence and in doing so disprove to yourself that god doesnt exist, and in your reality god genuinely would not exist. It depends on your perception.

In other words, this is a question that does not have a right or a wrong answer. Its true for everyone the way that they see it, so why debate it?

I know im getting too deep for most of yall simple mafuckas but fuck it.

Can you really call his reality real? Schizophrenics experience hallucinations that no one else sees but they are duped into believing they are real. Color blind people don't perceive the same colors as everyone else. They may not see an apple as red although the truth may be that it is. Seeing may be believing but that which you see may not be reality. There is objective reality and subjectivity. As social animals, humans have to align themselves with an objective reality that holds true for the group or at least generally. If not, there will be discord and chaos.

I cant call his reality real but he can. Everyone's reality is different. The same action that will make someone happy will make someone miserable and no one can say definitely how that action should make everyone feel. Its all about how the individual perceives it, and that same action leads to many different realities within one shared reality.

With that said if that individual perceives a random coincidence as god then in his reality it is god.

An apple is an apple for everyone, that is our shared reality. But if you think an apple is delicious and I think its disgusting then that same apple is two completely different things at the same time. Now multiply that by 6 billion.

You're confusing subjective feelings or opinions with objective reality. If that schizophrenic attempts to drive and starts to hallucinate, it becomes a problem and puts his life and others in danger. Someone could get killed because his beliefs don't align with reality.

Why we talking about people with mental disorders? You cant prove your point that way b. We talking able bodied and able minded peoples reality. Science never proved what reality is and how the human consciousness is formed. At this point it's still a philosophical debate, and were debating if god can exist for those who believe in god or not

You're buggin.

Faith is a dishonest position.

Faith and science doesn't go hand in hand.

That's like asking to disprove a walrus who lives on pluto that is juggling tennis ball that sends telepathatic message to me every friday the 13th.

It's not the job of the denier to disprove it.

it's on the claimer.

That's how it works. I told why people believe in god or gods due to ignorance and the early human being as smart as a 5yrs old modern human kid

Funny how you recognize the fact that there is an objective reality and one who lives in a subjective alternate reality has a mental disorder.

LOL @ asking someone who believes god doesn't exist to PROVE it.

*dead*

you have the same argument tho... so I guess u sound just as dumb?

How so?

If your claim is "god does exist and it's a fact", then the burden of proof is on YOU.

How can I disprove "god" when I state that no such thing exists?

Sure, I can point out flawed logic in the bible, but that doesn't "disprove" god, only mans ignorance.

There is no proof or evidence for god, that in itself gives no room to disprove, because there's nothing to disprove.

You're smarter than this.

And ill say it again, as an atheist I hate atheists more then believers yo. We mad hypocritical. We hate believers always trying to push their beliefs on us but then we turn and try to disprove god to them at every turn.

Atheists always have to prove theyre smarter then everyone else by not believing in god. Shit is disgusting.

Were supposedly so above believers and so much more intelligent but we cant do something as simple as "live and let live"

That's all the lessons yall getting from the god for free today.

I don't "hate" what they preach, I simply like showing them all the holes in it.

If the subject comes up, I'll gladly debate and show them reasons why it's silly to be religious and how hypocritical it is to be.

If anything, the non-believer doesn't have to prove that god doesn't exist. The bible, and concept of god, does this itself.

you understand that there are a sizable amount of Muslims in the black community as well.. lots of them " converted" 4 the reasons u made ( this religion was forced on us blah blah blah) so again how are we blindly following? we know there are other religions out there and jus like yall if we feel like all religions are bullshyt we have the choice not 2 believe...

Blacks following the muslim religion suffer from the same lack of understanding for the most part. However, muslim propaganda tend to cater to the black communities struggle in this christian based country. They say what blacks want to hear essentially. But in going over the religion with with the same fine comb, you'll find just as many fallacies and similarities as the other abrahmic religions. A lot of shit still won't add up and you're back at square one.

If a person chooses to go on their spiritual journey free of bias and without a need to seek haven, they'll recognize that. Most can't, won't, or don't know to do that. They often don't realize they have the luxury of choice. Nor do they realize that the same people offering salvation would have them in bondage years before. Just sweep that part under the rug. Willing drinking the kool aid and ignoring how it was made cause it taste good.

Video is GOAT as fuck. To be honest however Christianity also the abolishenists movements.

Another good logical error in Christianity is that black Christians whose people have been raped, murdered and castrated will share heaven with their white slavemasters, murderers, rapists and castators because those people were "forgiven" for their sins.

Well, to be fair, they are only "forgiven" for those sins if they confess and sincerely repent. How many slavemasters, murderers, rapists, and castrators do you believe did that before they died?

Umm all of them. Most people pray for forgiveness for "all sins" not certain ones.

Uhhh it doesn't work like that. You have to confess your sins and repent. In other words you have to acknowledge the sins you committed.

The wrong debate is being used. Its damn near impossible to prove that some god in the sky is real, or not real, but those stories and attributes that are assigned to a god that can be proved, or disproven.

For instance, the bible states, god said let there be light, then a few days later he created two great lights.

Impossible, The Sun is our Light producing object, so where did the 'light' come from before the Sun was created.

It also says that the vegetation grew before the Sun was created. Again impossible.

Now, back to the 1st point of there being TWO GREAT LIGHTS. Well we all know the SUN is a great light, but the MOON is not a light at all, it only reflects light (but I can see how people living 1000's of years ago thought the Moon was an actual light back then) .

And that's just the very 1st page, I didn't even mention how impossible the the Noahs Ark story is, or talking animals, or the impossibilities of genetics that are mentioned in the bible, or how about god created Males and Females for just about every animal on earth, but didn't have the omniscience to immediately create eve when creating adam, etc, etc.

Those are things that can be proven, or disproven.

You are also forgetting that the planet is created from star residue and that we are all part of the sun technically. Hell, even ancient people knew the sun reflects light into the moon and the circumference of the whole earth even better than those who came after them. A lot of the god concept came into full play after civilizations were built, the concept of god was more metaphysical and not actually some guy sitting in a chair nah'mean.

Nah, I didn't forget. I just try to keep it as short as possible to show my point.

Trust, I know that were made of star stuff. Theres a reason our bodies are made up of trace elements and different metals that are made inside of stars.

Carl Sagan is one hell of a Teacher.

Oh, I forgot we are on the IC where we don't read lol, but yeah good drop though people need to realize certain sciences that are factual don't add up in the book, we have to remember it was written by men not a god.

I just think it's fun to talk about. Everybody has their favorite subjects of discussion. I like philosophy. I don't go around searching for theists to debate. I just get in these conversations. It's like rain. It just happens. Irl, is usually the theist who kicks things off.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth,

As it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive them that trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

The power, and the glory,

For ever and ever.

Amen.

* The Lord's Prayer...

The Lord's Prayer was meant to be general though. It's the archetype for how one should pray. When the Bible specifically speaks about having your sins erased, it includes confession though. For instance:

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

That said, it's certainly a matter up for interpretation I guess.
