...considering the Knicks are no longer just trying to have a successful reg. Season.....lol.....but a successful post season too, so yey, let's waive one of the top playoff-PG-performers in the game today....this season is a primed one, for Billups to come thru for them;

-less reg. season games to weigh on, his body
-playoffs slows down the game, to Chauncey's advantage
-his defensive ability is most important during the playoffs

Nigga please. Chancey was on his last legs and the Knicks have now one of the top 3 frontlines for the next 4 years. They go with some PG off the scrap heap this year and next offseason go after a servicable PG, maybe Raymond Felton would come back. But Chancey isn't someone you build your team around anymore, but he can go somewhere like MIA and maybe help them get over the top, although I think he can't do it anymore.

You wouldnt build your team around him anymore but he is still a championship piece and all the contenders could use him. Dumars should try and get him back, resign Rip and put the 04 Pistons back out.

He may function as the PG at certain times, but that's not what he is listed as. Nor do they WANT him to really have to play that position all game.

I'm pretty sure they'd rather have a proven floor leader run the offense than be forced to have james as the PG.

Billups has said he wants to go to a contender. There are only a few true contenders in the league, and even less that need a PG.

Lakers - Need one
Thunder - Dont need one
Mavs - Billups = Kidd... Don't need old one
Spurs - Dont need one

Heat - Need one
Celtics - Dont need one
Bulls - Dont need one
Knicks? - N/A

So yeah, his only options are really Lakers and Heat.

...and remember, young pg's don't win chips, so him being old in the playoffs is a (+) thing since youngsters usually choke in May-Jun

I disagree on him playing SG. The Bulls need a SCORER at the 2. Everyone knows that.

And Im glad you can count because I definitely listed only two. And billups is not better than any of the young PGs on any of those teams.
