He's average and without the KanYe Co-sign he wouldn't of gotten the 200k he got. He does make some good songs but the jury is still out on his longevity. Drake is different, I don't think he would of went Plat without the Young Money machine but he could of still gone Gold though. I think they are both talented in their own way but neither of them are on Luda's level, he's got way more accomplishments than both of them combined.

Well I don't think Big Sean has any sort of longevity IMO. I'm thinkin this time next year he'll have MAYBE a light buzz and a year after that..... "you had a spark when you started but now..."

Drake though...even if he's as soft as cashmere condoms he's definitely got longevity. I think you're right he didn't need to sign to young money to be alright but he would've never been as big as he is now.

But as far as Luda goes I think he's at this point in his career where he's happy doing movies but he's in a space where he's no longer the biggest artist and all these new niggaz have taken his place lost it someone else picked it back up they lost it now these current niggaz hold the spotlight and he doesn't really have the amount of fans he used to have. So he's not a good actor and he's not the "today" rapper. I think he just misses it and this is just a way to shove himself in the spotlight. I don't think Luda cares as much as big sean thinks but I think it's just a good way to keep people listening...he dissed 3 people on 1 mixtape you can't say part of that wasn't for attention especially Drake and Big Sean...really?

EDIT: And just so ya'll know being IN a huge movie and STARRING in a huge movie are two different things. Joel David Moore was in Avatar...doesn't mean he's somehow relevant. Just sayin. Luda isn't IRRELEVANT but he isn't relevant either if that makes any sense. Niggas could not hear another Luda song and not really trip.

I mean come on now be real I can say Melle Mel or even MC Hammer sold ___________number of records over their entire career but I'm not going to act like that makes them relevant right now.

Hell the fact that people even have to bring up Luda being a movie star should tell you hes irrelevant as far as hip hop goes

im sorry, i just can't take drake and big sean stans seriously.

real shitee boiiii like niggas gunna talk smach regardless doe. like maybe 4 years ago i woulda had a luda feature but even during the making of my first album we went through a list. Me and kanye sat down and said what niggas would actally outshine me on my singles so it would actually get airplay. What niggas could i put on the songs boiii and people might be tricked enough to think its thier song and actually be buying a BIG Sean single boii.

We got to dat nigga luda and we realized this nigga not that big anymore. Like dis nigga so ilrelevant.....psycothug thread. Like dis nigga at this point at his career would not be big enough to outshine me and turn heads like a kanye or nicki or chris or roscoe.....damn i really havent had a single without a big artist being da designated susperstar boiii...wo dere!

I look at Luda doing "Bada Boom" & "History Lesson" for hip hop, a lot of young kids actually think that Big Sean started that 'pause, stop' flow so Luda had to let the young kids know. I'm 23 and a lot of people my age think that Big Sean started it. So how can Luda be doing this to stay relevant haha? Luda & relevant is an oxymoron, the dude was just in a multi-million dollar movie and there's already previews on TV for his new one coming out in December. Luda also said back in the late summer that he was dropping a mixtape in the fall, so everybody saying that he did this to ride off of Drake's album can chill. It's sad to see how many people have forgotten the legacy of such rappers when a new one pops up. Fickle fans

i said the same thing but they dont hear you.

What does any of that mean though? Nothing except everyone jumps on his popularity now...but if that shit slows down even a little bit all that shit's going down the tubes.

thank you. niggas always thinking so close minded : "well niggas around my hood don't bump Luda so he's irrelevent". Forgetting how big the US is and that your area doesn't mean shit in the long run
