if there some type of new rap requirement that is forcing these niggas to just say the dumbest shit ever. you got niggas talking bout selling a mill in a week, labeling their shit classic, and now this nigga talking bout he in the HOF like Pac and Ye. And that he's gonna teach us something

that's the thing tho its not just big sean overhyping albums its a large majority of these rappers dropping albums. Just like how meek was talking about he was gunna go plat first week and damn near every other rapper old and new talking about how their next album is a classic when most times its not.

if you aint learned by now every rapper is going to over hype thier project EVERY ARTIST ... even Waka flock over hyped his by calling it Wakavelli ... ijs ... EVERYBODY !! no one will ever come out and say I aint really feeling this joint but yall go check it out ... shit i dont think we will ever catch an artist saying ... this album is HOT!!!!! i put my all into but i have to say its not better than my previous work ... they will always say THIS IS MY BEST WORK TO DATE !!!!!

you right but in the mid 2000's niggas would buy an album based off hype or a previous classic album of an artist btu now they not falling for that shit anymore. and for these new niggas they aint even got a hot previous album and have lots to prove. So when they talk out they ass it don't even equate to sells.

hey i def agree with ya ... im expecting Trinidad James to say some shit like "my album is the next coming of The Chronic Album" when its time to drop his album lol ;)

I just want some good music from his album, just like on his Detroit mixtape, I don't give a fuck if he teaches a lesson or not because I don't look to rappers to learn stuff from anyway

I want to believe the kid. Something about him seems genuine.

It's such a hard balance these days, because you have to weigh putting out more serious material against the very real possibility that simpleminded fans won't support it. Especially after you led off with issh like "Dance (Azz)," not that that's not dope.

I do like "Memories" and "24K of Gold," where he kind of is motivational.

GKMC made all these young cats wanna step their issh up.

This right here. Did yall niggas listen to the interview? He just said the label wanted him to put out Guap for the first single. The serious single he wanted to put out first will be used as his second single. Album is going to be crazy. Basically "Detroit" but bigger. Based on the 3 snippets he played off the album I already know this album is going to be dope. And lol at Sean being gone after this year. Yall said that 2 years ago. Look at him now.

wait so first you say don't judge a book by its label forced cover....but based on 3 snippets you automatically think the album is going to be dope and "bigger than detriot"? you gotta practice what you preach lmao.

This shit sound like when lupe blamed his label delayed his album and lazers was meh. Although sean would pray to do lazers numbers even though he probally wont.

The Label wanted Guap as the single, which just entered Billboard 100 last week. He said it in his last 2 interviews. He also said that the album would be like Detroit but even bigger and better. Sean pushed his album back he wanted to properly put it out the same way it did Detroit. Sean been recording this album for over a year now. You think he's about to put a bullshit album? Based on the 3 tracks he played yeah I think this album is going to be dope. It almost like you want Sean to fail or something lol.

lol its almost like you are missing the point. if i wanted him to fail i wouldn't have paid money to see him in concert twice. all i am saying is you can't get samples of 3 tracks (which who knows if they will not get cut from the album with this delay) and then automatically think the album will be a dope by default. nobody is denying what big sean said in an interview but your denying the fact your not practicing what your preaching aka don't judge a book by its cover.

believe me or dont believe me ... but detriot was only dope cause it was free ... if folk paid for it the story would be different ... same with the album hes gonna drop ... people are going to critique the shit out of it cause they gotta pay $$$$$$$$$$$ for it .......

if people had to pay for mixtapes i dont think the game would flooded with so much wack shit ......... ;)

Dude saying some real stuff in that quote.

And like the other dude and I said before. Big Sean got potential, but it depends on what he does with it.

Big Sean has the potential to take it further "appeal" wise..... musically his ceiling is still up for debate.
