I can respect that he wants to be remembered and it's not impossible but just do you don't force us to remember you. I guess when your boss' first two albums are regarded as classics you gotta try to compete when that isn't the case because Ye allowed his album to naturally come together. Guess we'll see what happens.

I like some of dudes music but this "hall of fame" title and the tropical juice single makes me not take me seriously untill i see it. Also sidenote if you want your album to be one of the best of the year but release it early in the year 9 times out of 10 it will be forgotten by the summer.

He wants to leave a legacy but all he talking about still in guap is how his mom need a car his homie needs some other shit and he needs his iphone charged right now. C'mon son you still rapping about the same shit from FF the album.

if there some type of new rap requirement that is forcing these niggas to just say the dumbest shit ever. you got niggas talking bout selling a mill in a week, labeling their shit classic, and now this nigga talking bout he in the HOF like Pac and Ye. And that he's gonna teach us something

Big Sean and legacy in the same sentence?????????????????????????????

that's the thing tho its not just big sean overhyping albums its a large majority of these rappers dropping albums. Just like how meek was talking about he was gunna go plat first week and damn near every other rapper old and new talking about how their next album is a classic when most times its not.

People like him is why people don't buy rap albums anymore.

this, its making everything so underwhelming the only two that I can think of that didn't overhype their music was Future and Kendrick

agreed and the funny shit is allot these rappers that are going first album or trina get their first big crossover album acting all cocky and shit knowing damn well they got the superfriends cast of features carrying their album. And you right about kendrick and future. Even though i am not a fan of future both of them just dropped their albums and let the album do the talking to whomever listens to thier music.

Alot of good comments on here.

I like Big Sean but that nigga ain't teaching shit & ain't leaving no type of legacy.

I like Big Sean too. That Memories joint on FF is a damn near classic, if it's not. He speaking real stuff on there. He does need to rap more about real stuff if he want's to be remembered. But he has potential. He has flow, creativity and metaphors. Let's wait and see. But if things keep going like guap... I don't know man... You don't even have to listen to the song to know what it's about. The title says it all.

The hate for big Sean in this thread is strong when he dropped that "Detroit" mixtape everybody on this site was saying that shit sounded like an album, wait until hall of fame drops then cast your judgment on it nobody besides kanye west and few others have heard it.

I want to believe the kid. Something about him seems genuine.

It's such a hard balance these days, because you have to weigh putting out more serious material against the very real possibility that simpleminded fans won't support it. Especially after you led off with issh like "Dance (Azz)," not that that's not dope.

I do like "Memories" and "24K of Gold," where he kind of is motivational.

GKMC made all these young cats wanna step their issh up.

you right but in the mid 2000's niggas would buy an album based off hype or a previous classic album of an artist btu now they not falling for that shit anymore. and for these new niggas they aint even got a hot previous album and have lots to prove. So when they talk out they ass it don't even equate to sells.
