I know it might hurt the self-esteem/egos of some cats in here hearing that ether he layed on the young generation but it's true. Young dudes get out here and try to shit on older cats, but if Nas and Cube and those other great older MCs quit rapping the rap game aka the hip-hop music genre would be on life support for real.

As far as his review of Meek's album, I don't think he's giving him a pass at all. He pretty much called his album a mediocre piece of discography if you read all the stuff he said (i know reading is something all the way through is hard for some of y'all). He gave Meek his respect for ripping bars since he was a youngin but that's about it. But let's be honest: Did anyone ACTUALLY think that Meek was going to put out a classic album? His catalog does not even remotely hint that IMO. He has no range really and raps about mostly the same shit. You had to have known that he was going to put out a mediocre/cookie-cutter album.

As far as his thoughts on J. Cole, I think he gave his opinion and I kinda agree with it. Cats everywhere had J Cole hyped like he was the new king of this shit but he's not even the best out of his OWN PEER GROUP. Kendrick Lamar raps circles around every....single....one of the dudes in his bracket/peer group IMO. Not saying that J. Cole or any of those other dudes suck (far from it) but Ghost is right in that Kendrick put out an actual thorough album (wouldn't call it classic just yet) that doesn't sound like it was pieced together by the machine or made for every single type of crossover audience there is.

Solid ass review and I'm glad someone is callin shit like they see it and not being all politically correct (read:polite) and shit.

6. Maybach Curtains ft Rick Ross, Nas & John Legend - Not even gon lie bruh...I really don't wanna hear no more Maybach joints. This shit jus soundin like deja vu now. No surprises here AT ALL my dude... John Legend all on the hook gettin his John Legend on....Rawse tryin to reinvent the "Im rich" wheel for the one thousandth millionth time n shit... And yo...Nas my dude....but he soundin like he wrote his rhymes to a faster beat or some shit. After catchin fire on some features last year n droppin one of the best joints of 2012 this was kinda like a step back namsayin. Shit jus dont really click. But a lotta muthafuckas be waitin on these geriatric joints so I aint gon knock it....jus aint no shit I fucks wit personally nahmean.

and yea it's time for Mary J to hang up the hook singing that shit on GKMC was awful as well

co-sign everything ghost said except mary being wack since when the queen of hiphop soul is wack.

he shitted on drake on this review more than GKMC.

polo and shell tops review was hilarious like how he chose shell tops so he can rhyme it easy with other words.

what he said about my generation was nothing but truth

Not really...Young rappers might be fallin short, but who you think is signin and pushin those niggas?...Old niggas from the "golden era" who wanna capitalize off whatever the kids are doin...Krit almost quit...Kendrick been tryin for yeaaaaaars...Cole got ignored by Jay first...Wale got fucked by Interscope...I say all that to say there is an abundance of talent in our generation that's equal to or better than what niggas prior were doin...It's just a matter of that talent getting the development and promotion it needs...

FOH Lol

If J. Cole, Wale, and Krit are the names u bring to the table in a 'this generation is jut as good' battle, you have thoroughly fuked up.

Not sayin any of them is wack, but thats the BEST you have? Like, thats your front line???? In comparison to the Pacs, Biggies, Jay z, Wu Tang, Pun, Mos Def, Common, etc, etc.? SMH

1 quote in particular comes to mind with this generation "To to the blind man, the one-eyed man is king'

Meaning, there's so much bullshyt out, that an artist dropping actual quality gets gassed ridiculously and some poeple have the NERVE to think that means they would even exist in the "golden era"

Stop runnin round gassin all these 1-eyed nggas man...

Naw...I'm sayin those are examples of artists with "substance and talent" that old heads actually acknowledge when they hear them...All those artists had to go through hell to even get heard over all the bullshit, and when they did they had to adjust the sound of their debuts in order to sustain their career...I'm sure there's plenty artists their age who are "better" than all them niggas...But if older people who run the labels these days don't think they're "marketable", then they'll never get heard on a national/international level...When Nas was 19, people were excited bout what he was doin, and money was put behind it to promote it...A 19 year old nigga in 2012 rappin like that needs a hope and a prayer and a hustle to even be on a label's radar...And artists from my generation have our own set of tools to build a buzz(Internet networking), but it's not easy as it seems...But if there weren't a bunch of lazy greedy ignorant ass people from past generations at the helm of these stations and labels who only wanted to invest in a quick recoup, then maybe older rap fans who want to be impressed would get what they wanted...Not to say that my generation shouldn't have to work for a leadership position, but past generations should spend more time investing and mentoring us instead of chastising and using us...The same could be said for government, honestly...

truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu but outside of that mic tyson review ... That was probably the EASIEST i ever seen ghost go in on someone ... i mean he was super easy on MEEK even on the female tracks ... he even fell back on drake on the amen joint .... if anything he only scolded for talking that young ish like hes the first to do it ... but outside of that Big Ghost was finding it hard to diss Meeks album ... he didnt even goin on the Believe it joint ... which i thought was hard ..... and he thought the same .... lol i was super suprised by that .... he even let the Trey songs joint slide lol ....

but he also did call meek out on Polo & Shell Tops ... which happens to be one of faves ... but hes right Polo & Shell Tops sounds like it was created because its easier to build a rhyme around Shell Tops .... he exposed the shit out of dude with that one ... made me loose a little respect for that song .... but thats still my joint lol

kind of true .... look @ nas for example .... he came up 100% street with Illmatic and switch it up for the labels trying to get that extra extra cake on IWW .... same with jayz ...... but rappers these days have learned from those days ... or better yet maybe the labels did .... and maybe instead of letting them do them on thier debut they expect more of that inustry album on that first go round ???????
