Big daddy Kane or Jay Z? Higher on a GOAT list?

I go with Jay just for the simple fact Reasonable Doubt is my favorite album of all time, and I believe he put out a better body of work. I'm a fan of Kane, but I think I Get The Job Done derailed what could have been a great career. To me, he started catering to the ladies a little too much after that. I can't fault the brother because I love the ladies too, but as a fan of raw hip hop at that time, the music he made after It's A Big Daddy Thing didn't do it for me. Honestly, I can't see how anyone could pick Kane over Jay if we go by the t/s criteria. I can feel you liking Kane more, but he did provide a guideline to go by. This of course is just my take on it.

There both in the top 7 IMO. But who deserves to be higher on a GOAT list?

Catologue- Jay

Originality- Kane

Concepts- Jay

Versatility- Kane

Vocabulary- Kane

Substance- Kane

Flow- Kane

Freestyle- Jay

Vocal Presence- Kane

Live Performance- Kane

Poetic Value- Tie

Body of Work- Jay

Industry Impact- Jay

Social Impact- Jay

Longevity- Jay

Lyrics- Kane

Battle Skills- Kane

And overall the winner is.......

Kane but Jay is still higher on the GOAT list cause most people back in the day wrote Kane off when he came out with his 3rd album a Taste of Chocolate, did the rap spot with Patti LaBelle( in those days R and B acts used rappers like rappers use singers today, but did not respect the art form very much), posed in Playgirl, and did that sex book with Madonna,. Still Long Live the Kane and it's a big daddy thing are considered classic by some. Jay on the other hand is 11 solo albums deep and has not fell off yet, has arguably 3-4 classics. In fact the only things stopping Jay from having number 1 GOAT status IMO is that rap has not really changed in the last 12 years, so he did not have to go through different cultural changes. And he bites a lot. (he may call it big upping but i call it biting) and that rap is so wack now that anybody can get shine and almost anything is allowed compared to when Kane came through when the dopeness exceeded the wackness.

IMO because of Impact and Catalogue I'm have to go with Jigga, but Kane is very tough though
