Budden. Outside of the Bar Exams, I only mess with Royce's features. Joey? Only wack shit he put out to me was that release on Asylum or whatever that independent was. Escape Route or something.

That's hard Joe makes better songs but Royce has better verses so it's a toss up but Royce is more lyrically gifted but Joe seems to be more open and honest about his struggles. I cant vote its really close.

If we talking lyrical dexterity only then of course Royce, but i like to measure everything that the artist brings to the table and this includes quality albums and mixtapes. Budden got more of that. This is the same reason we consider Missy Elliot a top female MC even though she lyrically weak compared to many of her pares. Budden has lyrics that are in no way mediocre and better music so he edges Royce out.
