No way KL is better than Lupe. Before the summer, Lupe would have been the overwhelming favorite, but... Because KL's music is fresh in your ears and he hasn't been in the game as long as Lupe (which means he hasn't given you enough reasons to not like him... Yet), Lamar gets the nod.

oh yeah i forgot its politically correct to say kendricks better so i should just roll with it? No! i wasnt a big fan of either (if anything i thought danny was worst because i thought his voice was annoying on a TRACK and lamar obv had more buzz) so i gave them an equally fair assessment. kendrick was boring and danny brown left an impression. maybe kendricks music isnt good in a concert settting but that shows you hes boring if you dont know his lyrics. he has no charisma.

is kendrick more lyrical yes but its not all about lyrics...

Danny brown is lyrical, his music is more appealing and hes has more energy. oh yeah and wait for it.....hes more.......RELATABLE. hes not trying to sound like a genius or trying to be cool.

dont get me wrong I thought danny was a joke from just hearing him on tracks due to his voice but when i saw him live i saw his persona and artistry which made me a fan ....kendrick could not do this, he has no personality and neither does his music imo.

@mohamed I don't think Danny Brown is seeing Kendrick lyrically right now but he's one of my favorite recent artists and I can definitely see why you like his music more. But lyrically nah.

He nice as fuck though...And XXX is certified classic in my eyes. Not one skippable track

I read your post ...then climbed to the apex of the Eiffel Tower ...only to plunge into the Stoney depths of cold concrete where I then became unsatisfied with the results ...so I reassembled my scattered limbs and promptly decided to play a quick game of hopscotch in mid day traffic....

@GZus exactly, its crazy cause that album was titled the best rap album from top music critics but i slept on it because of his voice haha. i was at a festival and by chance i got to hear him live, after that...Game Over! His true skills are in his live performances imo because it shows his personality and charisma which will convert more fans for him. His set was Goat. "Wit it" was crazyyyyy live.

kendrick set was more hyped and promoted but his lyrics and flow arent entertaining making it hard to keep your attention if you arent a fan of his music. I think its his delivery that needs work.

to be honest i dont bump either artist on the regular but kendrick gave me nothing to take from his live performance which to me tells me a lot about the artist but danny brown was impressive and one of the best rapers ive seen live outside of Jay. ill at least check for his live shows if anything.
