But i heard this only goes for the IC by the way but on the IC people will call a song that has a message, substance expression of emotions corny so what do people mean by corny for a song of this nature? i never got this do they mean corny as in soft?

Kendrick appeals to way more people, and is more relatable than Lupe. They both have the character of being a good kid from the hood, but K.dot is able to get both the hood niggas and the ¨nerds¨ to listen and blast his music in the whip.At times Lupe trys too hard to sound smart, while Kendrick doesnt necessarily dumb down his lyrics, he makes it to where the avg rap fan can understand and the hip hop head can appreciate his lyricism... Lupe is ill, but when its all said and done you´ll see that K.Dot will be on alot of peoples top 5 or 10 rappers of alltimes lists...

Lupe's last album was lackluster, but he's still way better than wackass Lamar. Lamar is borderline trash. He uses the same white boy flow with shock content that's not so shock. A better comparison would be MGK vs. Lamar, or Big KRIT vs. Lupe etc.
