Is Lupe really that nice for yall to be puttin him up against Nas?

Yes. From someone who has all of their music Lupe can mentioned with Nas.

Put You On Game:

Gotta Eat:

Theme Music to A Drive By

Lupe Fiasco - Double Burger With Cheese (UnOfficial Video):

If we talking lyricism then Failure

This is just a few. Niggas be sleeping on Lu heavy without even going into his catalog.

his beats kinda hit or miss but im impressed, he a creative rhymer and im diggin the wordplay...

Nas but a little. He did more for the game. He rapped backwards and coin the word ether and made it the word it is today. But I say NAS because he did everything, from a MCs battle of battles, rapped about everything from street shit to political shit too being a family man etc. But Lupe is my top 5 too.

I fuck with Lupe heavy and he has dope music and lyrics..

but comparing them lyrically is like putting a bad ass Escalade ( Lupe ) against a Luxury Rolls Royce ( Nas )

They ain't on the same level bruhh..

Good thread idea but feels wrong.

Rakim/Grap are to Nas what

Nas/Jayz are to Lupe

There might be areas where the pupil does things better but the teacher gave them the template

lupe is a better lyricist, But nas is a better rapper. Nas impacts me harder than any rap artist ever can.

No disrespect to nas though but he's not on lupe's level lyrically.

So yall are voting right?

Not a big fan of either but i will say ive enjoyed listening to lupes albums more. Nas's monotone voice makes it hard to listen to have albums unless you r on a long road trip

Nas cause lupe has no depth to his verbal scribblings and tries to come off deep but comes of seemingly prattling kock knock jokes.

Tough because Nas is a legend. If the question was about impact on the game, than yes Nas. But lyrics... Lupe is on an island right now by himself.

Nas is the better of the two.

But Lupe can be mentioned with nas. They are both in the highest tier of rap.

As far as lyricism is concerned, Lupe is arguably the GOAT.

Nas is a great lyricist, undisputedly. Top 10 DOA.

His rhymes are poetic and personal, which makes him on of the greatest.

But the sheer density of Lupe's talent / potential is unrivaled, imo. Dude seems like he can do ANYTHING on the mic, but just chooses to be difficultl.. I've always been curious about what would happen if Lupe were to try Nas' approach to storytelling by making things a little less massive, and a bit more personal.. If he were to stop being so hard headed, he could be the undisputed champ, damn near easily..

"Just because you don't understand him don't mean that he nice"

Lupe in insane lyrically, but sometimes that nigga just be rapping in parables and shit that only make sense to him,but sound great with great wordplay.IDK what the fuck that nigga be talking about sometimes, and not much gets passed me.

Anyway,Nas has an entirely different approach to the microphone and lyrically I think he is better and more original.

Good drop @Cain...I never heard this one...between shit like this and the third verse on "World's An Addiction " I just don't see Lupe being better just yet...It would be different if Nas was falling off but the nigga just seems to be getting better
