Not related at all, but I remember before games in high school and they would sing the national anthem. Niggas would be in the student section doin dj clue drops during the pauses in the song. I'd be tryin to be serious for the game but i'd be on the court on the verge of tears. Niggas doin the ehcoes and all that. All you would hear was "by the twilights last gleaming....clue clue clue clue" Classic shit bruh.... Aight Carry on.

FOF this now!

Clue never got bodied on his own shit DJ Paul on Who Gives a fuck where you from Now you don 't want no drama boy cause we the the drama kings. Cut to Kay on on the 1' & 2's shaking his head looking unsure like a Makonnen freestyle.

Kay slay better hustler, clue a better dj

Never heard Kay Slay Dj live but I have heard Clue there is a reason he was hollering on them clue tapes. When I listened to his set his blends was trash.

I say Clue, only because he got an UZI *allegedly* pulled on him by Pun and still kept hustling haha

Hearing him on Combat Jack too, telling stories of being in Dubai or something chilling in a Sheikh's or Prince's house with Michael Jackson and schitt like that shows his hustle levels are crazy...

KaySlay came up earlier, so Im not doubt he was out him selling tapes like they were crack and still has had a great career, but Clue took it up a notch IMO, and made a INCREDIBLE career for himself touring the world and by the sounds of it hanging with royalty...

Kay slay been a hater .....clue had shit locked in the late 90's .....slay didn't get up on Clue tape level till 99 2000 & by that time clue slowed the mixtape down cause he was making records and running round the world with the roc

I just came in here to say that Clue ruined his mixtapes by shouting all over the songs. I hated whenever he had the exclusives, because we would hear him more than the song itself.

You do know you're talking about graffiti, right ...... by the time Kay slay got his name buzzing in the mixtape game Clue was already a tape king

The reason dj's talked over the exclusive was to prevent other dj's from jacking the song for their tape ..... and for you the listener to go buy the song

Smh some other page stealing my shit

The question was; Who is a better hustler?

Kay Slay was in Style Wars in 1983.

The question isn't; Who was buzzing in the mixtape game first?

So where does the hustle come in from being in a low budget documentary on graffiti in the early 80's ......and then not being heard from until the late 90's?

Dude didn't even parlay the graffiti into selling art pieces .....smh

slay loses just on the fact that he didn't let pap win off the momentum following the touch it remix. Album took years to come out and by then music already went in another direction. A hustler would know when the product is hot and move it out the door while the demand is there.

You're an idiot if you think Style Wars was low budget. It aired on PBS and was shown at the Vancouver film festival and the Sundance film festival.
